@daveny1505@islanders8888@MacFarlaneNews So many blatant lies, “Moral standards”, your moral standard is spending months blocking the Epstein file vote and still not releasing half of them and shooting protesters. “Free elections” except put ICE agents at the booths to intimidate and storm the capital when you don’t win
@islanders8888@GrumpaDotCA That makes literally no sense with cap dilution or roster compensation. Besides the facts its completely baseless
But looking at your kindergarten level intelligence AI slop spam on your account I shouldn’t have expected much of an intelligent thought
@GrumpaDotCA I think he’s in a very similar position to Hutson, he wasn’t as good as him and his rookie year so he’ll probably make a little bit less of the cap%.
If they signed at the same cap% on contract start Demidov would get 9.65 mil, so let’s got between 9-9.5 mil.
@ChumLine@RdmHabsFan Hutson didn’t make it because they had a specific play style in mind that he doesn’t match, Robertson and Caufield vs Miller and Trocheck are proof of that.
If they went by purely best player, he would’ve made it. He was over a point per game as a Dman when the Olympics started.
@the_habitant I’d be a little bit surprised if they use this pick, but you never know a deal might not show up.
If they use it, I’d be OK if they just traded whichever prospect they drafted later in the year for something like a Hischier if New Jersey gets backed into a corner with UFA.
@centzible@pastorcoin@BR_OpenIce The fuck do you think the All-Star game is? It’s to show the skill of the top players, that’s exactly what this would be.
Anything is better than games between the divisions where none of the players give a shit and don’t try.
@BR_OpenIce That could be pretty cool, we just have to hope the countrys take it seriously. But it’s kind of like a mini 4 nations with everyone else stapled on
@MidgioNation@alexnewhook The thing that makes Montreals cap situation so great is they have room to take a sub par contract bc of cumulative savings. Obviously youd hope he gets the mindset of the lockerroom. But even if he doesn’t. They could handle like 20 mil between Demidov and Hischier in 2027-28
@PeterStHabs Yes, I’m aware about the IR base salary thing, I was addressing the part where you said no one wanted him 50% retained, I was saying why thats not necessarily true.
@iamjif_eth@Iwatchthehockey@keoughan27 It’s not a gender aspect, it’s a “ another team in your city just won a fucking championship” aspect, you are the only person that brought up gender
@sidseixeiroshow@Sid_Seixeiro You are quite literally the only person Ive seen say this and my entire feed is Montreal. Was the exit rough? Yes. Does that mean they need to mope around? Fuck no. They had the worst odds going into R1, worse than the Kings, and they made it to the R3 as the youngest team, chill
@alexnewhook He’s basically the perfect target for a 2C, should be a manageable cap hit (could be traded with an extension like Dobson), 2 way responsible, good production, not small, has proven leadership qualities, similar age to Suzuki, and a team mid enough he could want out.
@Montpetit@PuckReportNHL I don’t think he should be a finalist or anything like that, but he’s definitely a top 10 defenceman. Just not the Makar, Hughes, Werenski tier that Oilers fan seem to think.
@HabsDigest Well, if you’re signing him this summer you might as well do the full 8 years because it’s the last summer you can do it.
I don’t realistically think he would make a much higher cap% than Hutson. So if they signed the same cap% at contract start, he would get 9.65x8
