Patient: My back hurts so much, I really want to be a B cup after this reduction
Husband: I’ve told her she doesn’t need a reduction
Plastic surgeon: Look at the red marks on her shoulders from her bra straps digging in. That looks painful.
Patient: I have to wear 3 sports bras when I run, I’ve stopped exercising completely.
Husband: She really doesn’t need a reduction
Patient (to husband): Go wait in the waiting room
And yes, she got what she wanted and also got rid of a total boob….
The only two ways into a commercial cockpit are:
1⃣ Paying $100k - $200k out of pocket for civilian flight hours (FAA mandates 1,500 flight hours). This cost naturally filters out the majority of the population and favors candidates with existing generational wealth.
2⃣ Have the taxpayer fund it via the military. For decades, military pilots have been majority white and male. Those pilots eventually retire and walk directly into commercial airline jobs.
Decades of a historically white-male military pipeline and a massive wealth barrier do not equal a pure meritocracy.
@alid1973 People think this is a feminist talking point, but it is supported in the data. Every major study shows hostile sexism is the single strongest statistical predictor for violent extremism across all ideologies.
The solution is automation and "upskilling". Modern factories don't need 1970s assembly workers. They need technicians who can program robots. Slapping tariffs on imports just kills consumer demand by driving up prices, which ends up canceling factory expansions entirely and those promised jobs evaporate.
The actual think-tank strategy (https://t.co/EFm6UVyU7F) is R&D tax credits, advanced robotics, and vocational training for a high-tech workforce.
@JoJoFromJerz If future generations thinking we were all high is the worst of what happens, I think we will have dodged a bullet. Unfortunately, I don't think the damage done can be unwound so easily and quickly.
Actually.... I have receipts.
A recent Harris poll found that 78% of Americans claim to understand tariffs, but only 48% actually do (https://t.co/afENeug3VV).
Ipsos just proved that 55% of the country doesn't know importers pay the tax (https://t.co/sM8PuxyFbG).
YouGov found that over 40% of the President's base literally thinks foreign countries write us a check (https://t.co/ktrLnP8YCj).
You arguing against the data gave me a chance to post all these sources, so thanks.
What an unfortunate farce this is. The J5 coalition spent years investigating Euro Pacific and found zero criminal evidence. But it still forced local regulators to bankrupt it on a compliance technicality just to save face. This is terrifying. The state will literally lock up customer cash for 50 months to declare a PR victory.
It's been 50 months since my totally solvent bank was illegally seized by corrupt Puerto Rican regulators working in conspiracy with corrupt IRS agents. Customers still waiting for their money, were sacrificed as a PR stunt to turn a failed J5 Investigation into a fake success.
@TimothyFow56504@BillAckman@elonmusk@SpaceX It’s not an odd comment. SpaceX’s own demographic data shows the management team is 79% male and 73% white. The data is public. I used Zippia for this (a big corporate data aggregator):

Comparing the political liability of a Twitch streamer to the actual death toll of dissolving the United States' global humanitarian network is a massive category error, imho. PR damage and structural collapse aren't the same thing and shouldn't be in the same and shouldn't be compared for impact.
Posting a vague, content-free tweet so a particular political base can project their anxieties onto it and hit retweet is peak engagement farming. We have a $40T debt and a rotting bond market, but sure, let's keep fighting the 2017 culture wars for clicks. Exhausting.
In the midst of an awful lot of ever-so-sophisticated equivocating and oh-so-thoughtful-chin-stroking and too-clever-by-half-over-thinking, I just want to say, simply and unequivocally and for the record:
The Resistance Libs Were Right.
Pretending we are going to have a fleet of commercial nuclear cargo ships by 2028 is hilarious. The NS Savannah proved 60 years ago this doesn't work commercially.... despite advancements made since then, a commercial nuclear vessel requires a military-grade security detail to prevent piracy. Also, finding a private insurer to underwrite a floating nuclear reactor or a foreign port willing to let it dock is a challenge.
fyi, Apple Maps changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. I don't know when, but that's the way it shows up for me now.
I'm not sure if this is just in the U.S. or worldwide (I would guess just the U.S.). I think it's only a matter of time before Apple changes Lake Ontario to Lake America for devices in the U.S.
