"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything"
You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition.
One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them.
A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math?
"Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up.
My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes.
"The social disruption will be enormous!"
Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach.
Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already?
A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up.
Accelerate.
Dave's Paradox of ADHD Procrastination:
Suppose you have a task to complete.
Before you can complete it, you must first begin it.
Yet before truly beginning it, you must decide to begin it.
Before deciding to begin it, you must consider whether now is actually the optimal time to begin.
This introduces a smaller preliminary task: determining the correct starting conditions.
Naturally, that task cannot be undertaken immediately, because before evaluating the starting conditions, one must first gather sufficient information about them.
And before gathering all the information, one should probably make coffee.
Thus, between you and the completion of any task lies an infinite sequence of ever-smaller preparatory actions.
At no point is any individual delay unreasonable. Each is finite, justified, and arguably necessary.
Yet their sum approaches an entire afternoon.
Therefore, procrastination is not laziness. It is the inevitable consequence of attempting to perform a finite task through an infinitely divisible sequence of responsible preliminary decisions.
The truly irrational person is the one who simply starts now instead!
What we’re seeing with the Navy warships is evidence of corruption. This is what it looks like when we’re being looted by our elected leaders and their cronies. The money (our tax dollars) is not making it to the sailor’s plates - to their care, or to the care/maintenance of our vessels. But it IS being allocated and in record amounts. So, somewhere down the money chain - from the Pentagon through the (crony) contractors, vast sums are disappearing.
This happened in Russia. At least 50% went in Putin’s wallet, and the cronies took their cut. So only a fraction makes it to the designated expense.
And don’t counter this point by saying we’ve always had government waste, especially in defense spending. That’s waste. This is categorically different. This is corruption, meaning: it’s our elected leader(s), his family, likely his cabinet, and definitely his cronies, robbing us blind.
Corruption.
And in a corrupt mafia state, it’s the “lieutenants” who lead and enable the grift. Like a “secretary of war,” who makes sure the money flows back to wherever the dear leader desires. The accounting is hijacked at the top. And anyone who finds THAT - the scheme of the money flow, is the greatest threat to all those engaged in the grift.
Just ask Magnitsky.
I am totally blown away by Qwen3.8-27B in the Pi harness. I'm not convinced it's on par with opus, but man I am psyched to have something this strong running locally.
@mpfreeman1950 He has to be a Russian asset at this point, hard to otherwise describe this. N. Korea just shipped 50k more troops to Russia and and thinning out their troops for Putin's behest, so Trump is relieving pressure to allow him to do this. Don't know how else to interpret this?
North Koreas dictator sends more troops to kill Ukrainians, and shockingly, our president gives him a new gift and gets nothing in return.
Trump is so bad at foreign policy.

Russia tried to blow up a DHL jet as it was landing and a massive AN-124 on the ground, using drones with the same explosive used on Pan Am Flight 103, PETN. So far, Europe’s policy is Russia can engage in terrorism and Ukraine gets no Patriots. That’s a recipe for mayhem.
Hard to even process -- a president selling market-moving information to banks and wealthy investors in advance of everyone else, and personally pocketing hundreds of millions of dollars from it. This alone is more worthy of impeachment than 100 Watergate cover-ups.
Exactly what should happen. Iran and Russia have been using the Caspian Sea for years to avoid sanctions and disruption of support for each other. We should help Ukraine defeat Russia first. This will isolate Iran and North Korea and send a message of deterrence to China.
The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should have ended his bid to become AG, and be a more significant story.
The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and then we found out he was, should be a more significant story.
The fact that senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all.
And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, the innuendo Trump wrote on the card, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - his persistently panicked behavior on all things Epstein, it really should be the end of his presidency.
