Very arbitrarily-timed post for some of my thoughts on where the Arizona Senate stands, both as it is and looking to how November may look
With the environment and turnout dynamics as they are, Democrats have a real chance to retake the Senate for the first time since 1990.
Hey what did the folks who defeated this ended up building here? Something beautiful, right? Surely something that can be pointed to as a source of community pride? Surely they had a good alternative solution… right??
My name is Rileigh Simon. I am 27 years old and a proud Arizonian. I was born in Arizona and have lived the majority of my life here, along with a fair share of years in Wisconsin.
I grew up listening to Rush Limbaugh and really got into politics when I first heard @charliekirk11 speak.
I graduated from Arizona State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
I recently became a Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII) and am working my way into an aviation career.
My initial goal has always been to fly for Charlie Kirk. I am fortunate enough to now work for him and pursue both of my dreams simultaneously.
I started my political career without even knowing it when I had to face off against numerous college professors who inappropriately targeted students, and even took action against our grades.
I jumped in during the 2024 election, where my Turning Point career started. I was a major contributor to electing Doreen Taylor, SRP election, Indiana primaries, and am currently leading the fight to make Andy Biggs our next governor.
Since August 2025, I have been working with @TPAction as the Camelback Field Representative, creating long-term infrastructure throughout a quarter of the state.
My father taught me as a child: “Once a job has once begun, never leave it till it’s done. Be it labor great or small, do it well or not at all.”
This is the way I strive to live — and the way we will save our great state and country. 🇺🇸
'Huge victory'?: @TPAction threw unprecedented $$ & bodies at SRP election. Per unofficial results obtained by 12News, Solar Team has flipped 2 seats to take majority on the power district board, which decides electric rates, power generation & more. Interesting times ahead.
“Not staying in her lane.”
The Arizona Attorney General’s lane is defending Arizona’s laws from being run over by giant corporations and the federal government. We know where pay-to-play Petersen’s loyalties are, which is why @votewarren will never be AG.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes responds to HSI's investigation of AZ's 2020 election:
"The Trump administration is engaged in an unserious investigation into an election that took place six years ago based on nothing but conspiracy theories and lies."
For those happy people who haven't thought about the 2020 election in a long time.
A reminder that:
- Maricopa County did a post-election hand-count audit
- Multiple lawsuits, involving evidence, failed following the 2020 election
- Trump's own 2020 election law team said "we're not alleging fraud."
- The Cyber Ninjas were discredited, admitted some of their own errors, and went bankrupt after their Arizona adventure
- @votewarren (Warren Petersen) called the 2020 election "old news" and wondered why people were still asking about the Cyber Ninjas.
- No lawsuits came out of the Cyber Ninjas.
-The Attorney General's Office under Mark Brnovich spent 10,000 man hours investigating the 2020 election results. They found no material fraud or error.
- This is all an embarrassment to Arizona. Credit Karen Fann, who will surely help another wave of Republicans lose their statewide elections in 2026.
Arizona already requires DPOC and Voter ID, responsibly uses the SAVE system and we clean our voter rolls with ERIC.
Secretary Noem’s grandstanding about the integrity of Arizona’s elections is spreading misinformation. In fact, legislative Republican efforts to limit early voting options will create more polling place lines. If she wants to support some real reforms that would help voters and protect election security, check out our Voters First Act (https://t.co/JPNTOBbCfz).
What Is Kari Lake Trying to Achieve?
The Arizona politician has wasted millions of dollars while blocking U.S. efforts to bring reliable news to repressive countries (with @anneapplebaum) https://t.co/3FvK5BiEKt
While updating the back end of the E-Qual system, a typo resulted in a temporary system failure this evening. My office is actively working to restore the service. As more information becomes available, we will communicate to candidates directly if any action is needed on their part to restore their files.
But it is important to be clear: this failure occurred in the context of outdated systems and insufficient staffing that we have repeatedly warned about. (1/3)
This isn’t leadership. This is blackmail.
The Department of Justice has now told Minnesota officials that they will remove ICE if they hand over their voter rolls - this is not how the law works.
If there was ever a moment for libertarians and conservatives to step up and join the rest of us, we’re in it.
Americans have to unite and stop this descent from a freedom-loving nation into the kind of place where masked, militarized government agents are sent to politically noncompliant areas to roam the streets, terrorize civilians, and deploy violence with impunity.
