🚨 R3 TEAMS IN ACTION: RAPID RESPONSE GETS ASU WEST VOTE CENTER BACK UP AND RUNNING IN RECORD TIME!

Yesterday, our vote center at ASU West went offline due to a loss of power, and we were subsequently informed that power would not be restored today, either. Accordingly, we planned to keep the vote center closed one more day and informed our poll workers. Then, at 9:30 this morning, power was restored ahead of schedule. Within 30 minutes, one of our office’s new R3 (Recorder’s Rapid Response) Teams responded and opened the poll. Once the regular poll workers arrived, the R3 Team turned operations over to them.

R3 Teams are a new creation of the Recorder’s Office this year. Three teams are stationed at key positions throughout the county with trained poll workers and additional equipment ready to deploy at a moment’s notice to assist with everything from a situation like this one, or to quickly reducing overflow lines should they form.

This is just one of many examples of the new forward-thinking and problem-solving processes Recorder Heap has implemented for this election.

@JustinWilmethAZ Not as good as AZ, but the CA flag might be the best thing about their state now. I’d have to put the bear in second place

BREAKING: Katie Hobbs-Aligned Canvassers Caught Willing to Allow Non-Citizens and a Felon to Vote

Muckraker went undercover in Arizona to investigate the groups working to re-elect Gov. Katie Hobbs @katiehobbs and other Democrats.

Here’s what we found:

Stand Indivisible Arizona (endorsed Gov. Hobbs in their 2026 ballot guide) — Our journalist posed as a Canadian citizen and asked to register to vote. The canvasser not only agreed to help the alleged non-citizen register, but when asked whether other Canadians could register too, she said, “Tell them to do it online.”

Worker Power (working to re-elect Gov. Hobbs) — Our journalist told a canvasser they were not a U.S. citizen. Despite this, at our journalist’s request, the canvasser marked “yes” on the citizenship question of the voter registration form.

When We Count (the DNC’s own registration program) — Our journalist posed as a felon on probation and asked to register to vote. The canvassers looked up the law and saw that a felon on probation is ineligible. Even so, they encouraged our journalist to register: “You should just do it.”

AFL-CIO (phone bank mobilizing voters for Gov. Hobbs) — Our undercover journalist asked a phone bank trainer whether to ask the people being called if they're citizens. The trainer’s answer: “We don’t care.”

Our journalists stopped every exercise before any voter registration form was submitted.

We also asked Gov. Katie Hobbs about these findings.

Watch this report and share it with the world.

Thank you, Brent.

[Warren Petersen @votewarren]

I asked a reporter why they haven't reported that I have received every major law enforcement endorsement. She said her editor wouldn't let her.

I appreciate her honesty. But it shows the sad state of where AZ media is. We made history. A challenger to the sitting AG received every major law enforcement endorsement and they don't report it.

If a Republican AG was the incumbent and the Democrat challenger received every major law enforcement endorsement, you would hear about it 24/7 and in every story about the race.

@ecrown This is the Mayor warning Snell & Wilmer to shank the case or lose their contracts with the City. Kate Gallego is deliberately creating a Chicago-style political machine, intimidation, financial penalties and all.

‼️BREAKING: Canadians Workers FLEEING to the USA in Record Numbers

This is JUST as a I'd predicted.

Shocking new data from the NYT reveals a massive 142% surge in Canadian visas to the United States since Trump-era policies took effect.

While immigration from nearly every other region of the world has collapsed — Africa down 89%, Central Asia down 99%, Eastern Europe down 84% — Canadians are heading south in record numbers.

Experts say the dramatic shift signals growing frustration north of the border, with thousands of Canadians reportedly seeking better economic opportunities and stability in the U.S.

Canada's youth are fleeing at the first opportunity.... and I DONT blame them.

[Sam Stone @SamThePol]

Galvin being EXACTLY the agent-of-chaos he claims the Recorder is

Laughable watching the people who have fought election integrity by calling everyone “deniers” rush out to become “deniers” when it suits them politically

This is what you get from people with zero principles beyond the pursuit of power

[Thomas Galvin: Maricopa County Brd of Supervisors @ThomasGalvin]

ICYMI last week the @RecordersOffice had an issue, raising supply chain questions. Justin Heap didn’t announce it until Friday 5:19pm. On this lack of transparency, folks are saying “the optics are terrible.” Justin needs to improve after Trump called him “dishonest” last Monday.

[Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius]

Totalitarianism has historically come in many flavors: monarchy, dictatorship, fascism, communism, theocracy, etc.

However, the one thing that EVERY totalitarian regime in world history has had in common is the fact that one of their first official acts after achieving power is to outlaw dissent.

I'm not sure how anyone cannot understand what is at stake with the upcoming midterms: liberty or totalitarianism.

Choose.

Ask people opposed to nuclear energy what they think the waste looks like and you mostly get a description straight from cartoons: glowing green liquid eating through everything

The truth: metal rods you stick in a lead barrel

[Fusilli Spock @awstar11]

Democrats sincerely want to outlaw political dissent, you know, like fascists.

[Colin Wright @SwipeWright]

I will admit, I thought the Roadster hype was excessive and claims that it will "fly" absurd. At best I thought we'd see a very fast car that might achieve some sort of temporary lift at a high speed.

But my brain can't even process what I witnessed.

[Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap @azjustinheap]

EARLY VOTING UPDATE:
Today, we received approximately 80,000 early ballot packets. All packets were processed, and signature verification was completed by 2:00 p.m., breaking our previous record!

We continue to see higher daily voter turnout at our early voting locations compared to previous elections.

Now that the Recorder’s early voting staff are informing voters of their options, more than 80% of voters bringing in their green early ballot envelopes are choosing to have them ID-verified and stamped. This is a dramatic increase from the Primary and clear evidence that voters welcome this new option.

HAPPY VOTING!

Takes a pretty dumb lawyer to tell his BOS colleagues, with total assurance, that “Board or” and “Recorder or” mean the same thing 🤷‍♂️

[Thomas Galvin: Maricopa County Brd of Supervisors @ThomasGalvin]

The only “crap lawyer” in Arizona is one who refuses to say the 2020 election wasn’t stolen. I’m secure with my reputation in the legal community. Your boy Justin on the other hand…

[Sam Stone @SamThePol]

@MeredithCramer Calling people deniers has worked so well for all of you that we should do it, too?

What’s Richer up to these days?

[Sam Stone @SamThePol]

1. Do I think anything nefarious was at play in this situation?

No

2. Did I recommend and contact the FBI and MCAO immediately to pass what we had been given on?

Absolutely did. Would do it again. Every time. Because when questions about potentially fraudulent activity in an election come to light the proper reaction is not for the organization at hand to clear themselves, but to bring in an appropriate outside investigative agency to do it.

3. Brahm asked why we didn’t just tell Scott Jarrett

We did, via MCAO, immediately authorizing them to share what we received with MCED and BOS

So what Brahm is really wanting, and some members of this board are leaking to him to try to get, is MCRO to play the duck and cover game that has already cost one group of BOS members and two Recorders their seats

Sorry, not sorry. Never gonna happen

[Sam Stone @SamThePol]

Send the ones that arrived at your house back to us so we can look into them

Worth noting, if you requested one time ballots after your AEVL was printed, the AEVL would still be sent - no way to remove it from the mail - but is cancelled and can’t be voted once the 1-time request is processed

[Sam Stone @SamThePol]

@AtomicDog602 Well aware 😂
