This weekend the @BrownUniversity Corporation was on campus voting on tuition and raises for faculty & staff, the floor for our raise per our first contract. Do they really understand what it's like to be a grad worker at Brown?

In December, @BrownUniversity conducted an "equity review" of our stipend, saying our stipend "exceed[s] the estimated student expenses" without consulting any graduate workers about how much they actually spend in a month.
Grads are skilled workers who have kept the University running with teaching and research during the pandemic. We deserve a real raise for a living wage! RSVP to our next bargaining session TODAY at 12pm and next Wednesday at 12pm! https://t.co/6JjOgokSDg
FOOD & SUPPLY DRIVE THIS FRIDAY!
We are still collecting food and supplies for our housed and unhoused neighbors, as well as donations for folks being released from incarceration due to COVID-19.
After @BrownUniversity ended PCR testing, we were told Brown had "ample rapid antigen tests."
Now Brown is telling us we get a single antigen test per grad.

@shiripasternak Thank you for this. I'm in NYC, & will be in the classroom today. One of the schools I teach at would not budge on pushing back the start of the semester, or remote learning. I'm scared, but you've given me some tools.
