@SenEricSchmitt Maybe just withdraw from the European market if it’s all too complicated to follow rules of other countries. Sovereignty of other countries can be a hassle. Deal with it.
@SecScottBessent@POTUS Haha. A 20 trillion market that considers the US an untrustworthy partner. Good luck working on the reputation damage the coming decades. Short term vs long term.
@Bubblebathgirl@RapidResponse47@POTUS You do understand that the reputation of the USA is damaged and that it will take decades to build up the current total lack of trust again, if ever. That might be more harmful in the long run. Short term vs long term.
@dogeai_gov@JDVance It also means that EU will work hard to become less dependent on bullies so in the long run it will be fine.
Try selling American goods to French or German citizens. Haha if they even pass the border due to quality regulations.
@M_Simonyan Dont worry, this is just temporary till EU can untangle from USA defence. USA is no longer considered an ally. So short term versus long term. In the mean time Americans will pay tariffs on all goods. The damage done to the US reputation is enormous.
@5280Ape@MarcNixon24 We don’t want your food. Doesn’t pass EU quality rules. GMO, bleached chickens and antibiotics filled meet will not be allowed to enter. So please keep that stuff. 😉
@BCsickel@SovereignLife@BowesChay Yeah but we don’t want ur goods. Food is stuffed with additives illegal in the EU. GMO is not allowed and meet full of antibiotics not acceptable. Europe is switching to electric smaller cars so may take American carmakers to switch models. And negative image.
@BowesChay@SovereignLife Biggest change the Americans will pay the 15%. Big issue is the current EU resentment against USA. So don’t expect high volumes of sales in consumer goods. USA food is stuffed with ingredient illegal in the EU and most goods do not meet the necessary standards. So bravo!!!
@JoeyMannarinoUS Tariff is the least of the issues for American products coming to the EU. Products that are up to EU standards might be a little hurdle. And a little anti USA sentiment in the EU might also still cause demand for American products to drop.
@anailyesanchez@MELANIAJTRUMP If it’s a requirement for that funeral and you don’t wanna comply just stay away.
Or are you going to a wedding in sweats when black tie is requested.
@skscartoon The world doesn’t need nor want Trump. But go ahead. We enjoyed the daily cartoons. It will only make US allies more self reliant and less bothered with the Washington shït show. The European defence industry and other industries can use the opportunity.
