@BugsBeautiful It looks like a pygmy shrew, the long thick tail is actually a indicator (if it was a juvenile common shrew it would be thinner and slightly shorter)

A little light relief for all the rabid weirdos: little Corky getting his lungworm treatment. Levacide is administered to the thinnest skin, the tummy, so it can soak in. Finding the right itchy spot to scratch makes the experience more pleasant and stressfree. For Corky, too! π

@LaraLandyLover@HedgehogCabin I would agree with @HedgehogCabin the daytime is too long and hot at the moment. Hedgehog mums are more likely to be out this time of year as well so that they are able to feed their little ones. Just keep an eye out for strange behaviour like circling or moving very slowly π¦
@liv_outdoors You should be able to report it to your local wildlife record centre (if you search 'alerc' their website can direct it to your nearest one). The @Mammal_Society also has an app you can enter sightings on π
@liv_outdoors They can be greatly affected by the cold as they are so small and need to eat regularly. It's also possible that a predator as left it as they don't taste very nice!
