In other words, Canada takes Israeli forces at their word that they are serious about stopping settler attacks, despite all of the evidence. Israeli soldiers often regularly participate in the attacks & use force against Palestinians trying to defend themselves. Preposterous.

Domestic disaster relief should not be assigned to the military, but to civilian specialists employed by the state.

So why does Canada’s government use the military for domestic disaster relief?

Because it’s good PR for the military. In other words, it’s a propaganda stunt.
