Kaja Kallas, EU Foreign Policy Chief:
The EU just decided to indefinitely immobilise Russian assets.
This ensures that up to €210 billion in Russian funds stay on EU soil, unless Russia fully pays reparations to Ukraine for the damage it has caused.
We keep increasing the pressure on Russia until it takes negotiations seriously.
Next week’s European Council will be crucial to secure Ukraine’s financial needs for the coming years.

Trump says U.S. taxpayers owe him $230M for being investigated.

Russians are also having problems with electric cars!⚡️🧨⚡️
The Russian-appointed head of Crimea has banned electric and hybrid cars from crossing the Kerch Bridge.
Previously, the governor of the Krasnodar region in Russia had imposed a similar driving ban on Putin's favourite. #crimea
RT wartranslated "Meanwhile, 697 vehicles are queuing at the Kerch side of the Crimean Bridge with a wait time exceeding two hours, Russian media report citing the bridge operations headquarters."
The first steps the so-called Russian opposition should do before it can truly be viewed as an opposition:
1) Condemn Russia as a fascist dictatorship and imperial military aggressor.
2) Agree to return all Ukrainian territory (including Crimea) occupied by Russia to Ukraine.
3) Agree to put Russian war criminals (politicians, military, security, media) on trial or send them to The Hague.
4) Agree to pay reparations to Ukraine by relinquishing control over frozen assets and by paying to Ukraine a percentage on Russian energy exports.
5) Accept the right of national minorities to hold referendums on the creation of independent states.
*According to local media, about a hundred men in masks are marching in formation through the city. The purpose of the raid is allegedly 'unknown', local channels claim.
Obviously. Europe is enamored of talking about advantages they refuse to exploit, while a dictator like Putin understands that what matters is the will to use force. He's a poker player, a bluffer, and it doesn't matter how good your cards are if you keep folding.
The way I see it 10 km from the frontline, this Economist editorial is probably the most clear-eyed assessment of the stakes for Ukraine and Europe that has been published in the Western media

There’s a real nip in the air here this morning. The type of air that makes your eyes water when you walk into the wind. Here’s the penultimate 11am steam engine of the season going past the house and I managed to get dressed and go outdoors to film this one
