@MsAshleyDavies yeah, it didn't really bother me. i mean it's a bit less slick and it takes longer to turn on but everything else is fine. possibly a bit more annoying if you have an iphone cause then you're half-in half-out of their ecosystem? i've always androided so that was fine

@megoizzy @lottiecgross yeah, all fair points, i guess I just feel like 'how did we get to overtourism' = travel media in the first point is a simplification. 'hugely complex maze' is more like it, not that this means no one has a responsibility to do better

@megoizzy agree travel publishers should diversify but I dunno if they're that influential? what proportion of trips are really prompted by travel media? Would love to know if there's a stat, my instinct is that it's lower than folk who work in travel media think...
