Thanks to all our players, students, fans, and supporters on an unbelievable exciting first year. We return our core group of players and look forward to a bright future at Johnson University (TN)!
Pat Summitt said, “My parents taught me a long time ago that you win in life with people, and that's important because if you hang with winners, you stand a great chance of being a winner.”
Who you hang with matters!
Here are 5 takeaways for us all...
1: Value Relationships - Recognize the importance of relationships in your life. Surround yourself with positive and supportive individuals who share your goals and values.
2: Choose Your Circle Wisely - Be selective about the people you surround yourself with. Opt for individuals who inspire, motivate, and challenge you to work for your goals and grow as a person.
3: Learn from Winners - Associate with individuals who have achieved success in their respective fields. By learning from winners, you increase your chances of achieving success in your own athletic pursuits.
4: Team Dynamics Matter - Understand that success extends beyond individual accomplishments. Emphasize the value of teamwork, collaboration, and creating a positive team environment.
5: Influence of Environment - Your environment plays a critical role in shaping who you become. By creating a supportive and winning environment, you significantly increase your ability to thrive and succeed.
Always remember, you are the average of the 5 people you hang with the most.
You control your huddle.
Choose wisely!

"Don't give up on your own growth.
Don't allow your mentality to give up on your own growth.
Keep fighting for that every step of the way.
Keep being urgent for growth for yourself.

Wisdom from my grandmother:
The reverberations from the doors that they try to close in your face will create the wind to open a larger door.
Keep your eyes open.
Mental toughness requires thick skin. Don’t be easily offended by what coaches, teammates, opponents, analysts, and fans say. Take control of your mindset so you can stay positive and focused no matter what others say to you.
