It's been a long journey full of grit and grind. Those late nights and early mornings paid off - landed some solid payouts from prop firms. But guess what? I am still on the move. Next stop? 1M funding. In trading, each day is a new chapter of learning. Stay tuned.
Agree. Smart people will make good things at faster speed, uneducated people will make shit at faster scale )
Yes, most will make just curve-fitted strategies. But if you know how to prompt, he will not be doing such strategies.
For example, it's good not to have more than 3 parameters for curve fitting.
Do stops always help? Two MT5 tests say: it depends.
RegimeBreak/XAUUSD: max DD fell from 7.04% to 2.52% with stops.
AAPL 3days_down: no stop/1% led on return, but 100% exposure still hit 17–24% DD.

Drawdown ≠ a broken strategy.
My new article shows how to tell the difference using time underwater, rolling expectancy, execution drift and OOS checks — with a real RegimeBreak 5-20-60 example.

New MT5 research: RegimeBreak 5-20-60.
XAUUSD long at 0.5% risk:
• +$14,232 net
• 2.73% equity DD
• PF 1.86
• 86 trades
I also tested five risk levels, stocks, indices and long vs short—and published the MQL5 source.

@PKycek The same thing works on equities. If to choose the stocks from nasdaq100 with the best 4 month return. (3 or 5 months are also good)
Do you measure momentum the same way?
A profitable EA can still fail a prop-firm payout rule.
I replayed 86 XAUUSD MT5 trades:
• No consistency rule: 15 payouts
• 25% rule: 2 payouts
• Cash withdrawn: 13% less
Same trades. Different cash flow and exposure.
