MFA Digital Production Arts student at Clemson University in Charleston, Smash player and TO in my free time, always love working on passion projects (he/him)
VJ Loop I made, synced to 120BPM. Rendered in C4D with Octane, with most of the elements made in Houdini. Made tube loop with some VFX components and a few fun hard surface elements. Never doing content for this many monitors ever again. #houdini#C4D#octane#vj#vjloop
10- Deciding what I want to do with this VJ Loop, really happy with the beats present atm but have additional stuff that I wanted to do that will probably make this way too busy. Will keep at it and see what I can come up with.
Days 6-9 was on a trip to see my family with no Desktop so I threw together a few Shadertoy designs. Wanted to familiarize myself with GLSL a bit, and might do some more complicated things on it in the future.
6- Art Deco Fan Pattern in Shadertoy
With family and don't have access to my desktop. Take a quick example of me teaching myself Shadertoy to mimic some patterns from the Hunter Museum Art-Deco glass exhibit I saw earlier today.

5- Small revisit on the first cube to make the colors fit in with the others and add some of that volumetric movement I did in the other pieces. Think it might look better with something highlighting the edges of the smaller cubes but decided against it.
4- Dissolving Shapes. I feel like it needs something else like dissolving from a specific area or some accents but just had fun with the shape changing.
2-Made silhouette clearer with different values, added some fun volumetric forces to mimic the surface changes, and messed around with more repeating noise and transformations.

Just turned 26 today, want to post more online and continue learning more cool stuff in the spirit of self-improvement. Figured it could be fun to try this for one year, worth a shot!
Saw a Inside Out Dot style recreation by @Bbbn19, wanted to try something similar in Houdini.
Favorite episode was definitely Episode 4, lots of emotional moments and two catchy musical numbers flipped the two characters I hated the most into my favorites!
Got around to watching the Amazon Prime adaptation of Hazbin Hotel, and apart from the kind-of awkward pacing of episode 1, I really enjoyed the first season and would reccomend checking it out!
Been a lot of fun watching pilot episodes on YT and hope more shows get picked up!
I've been going down a rabbit hole recently with animated shorts after seeing this at SIGGRAPH! One of the best pieces of animation I've seen this year, amazing what they did and well worth a watch!
The magnificent "La Diplomatie de l'Éclipse" french graduation short film (MOPA school) is finally online.
Directed by Clémence Bailly, Selim Lallaoui, César Luton, Axel Mechin & Achille Pasquier.
