@Hamnakedshorts My take...
Good: Power is way cheaper after the initial investment into wells. I know of at least one bitcoin miner doing this in Alberta.
Bad: More carbon pollution. It would be better if they used hydro or nuclear power but those are more expensive initially.
@QuantumBP@AnthonyDurkacz It was a good interview but obviously recorded before the latest news about delays and the resignation of Dr. Kotra as director. It would be good to get some clarification @zsaeed@AnthonyDurkacz if you guys can. The PR leaves a lot to the imagination.
@rrr1sr I *did* vote for him because I thought he was the most reasonable candidate but I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well he's been doing. He doesn't seem to play politics and he's just getting his vision implemented. And I believe his vision is good for Canada.
@HouseofEl81@rrr1sr@Hamnakedshorts If true, it's pretty shitty for the prime. But maybe the prime should have done a bit more due diligence as well... and maybe next time they'll think twice about lending to shorts.
Again, if true...
@QuantumBP Great interview @zsaeed@AnthonyDurkacz . I have one question that doesn't have an answer yet so no need to respond... how would combining the cases affect existing debentures?
