@DynastyZack I think I figured out my mistake!
When you said you sent offers for what players will be worth later, I assumed that wasn't what they were worth now. And my big confusion was "knowing they will decline now" I figured you meant the value of the player, not the GM trade response.
@NoFilm_Analysis Great, thanks.
I was on the same page as you with the Caleb+ for Ward+5 1sts. I think we see things similarly.
I kinda feel like leaning into 28, because they're cheaper and my team could use two 1.01s, not one. Does that hold water for you?
@DynoGameTheory Chicago is too crowded with talent for Loveland to get consistent volume.
It's 2023 49ers. Kittle (TE5) is the best all-round TE in football, but Aiyuk (WR14) and Deebo (WR15) get their games.
Aiyuk and Deebo<Odunze and Burden
@DynoGameTheory I'm kind of an idiot vibes guy, but I don't see how a new OC doesn't walk into Philadelphia and see Saquon and Hurts and a lack of AJB and decide to run as often as possible.
482 total touches in 2024 and 356 total in 2025. Maybe he's a little fresher?
@NoFilm_Analysis Yep, 1000/1000.
People are just seeing the player names as if they can't drop in value. Egbuka and Burden have upside, but so did BTJ and Ladd. Picks are what can't drop in value.
OP is either earning 1.01 with this deal, or actually buying his 1.01 in it. 27 1.01 = Caleb
@GuruFantasyWrld@NoFilm_Analysis C'mon Guru. Paint me a picture of the exact team that should send 3 '27 1sts for Caleb in a 10 team league. It doesn't exist.
@DynastyCitadel2 Startup costs:
Harvey 8.11
Brooks 11.05
Tuten 7.10
Price 6.10
Brooks/Tuten have people rooting for them. Everyone is just waiting for Harvey/Price to fail. Harvey has a clear path to RB3 on his own team, I think it's him. Price can't really fall farther than Harvey did.
@DynastyJuggFF He was fine/consistent, putting up 1000 yards in his first four seasons, then got signed by the Chargers, put a firecracker in his eye, and then ruptured his achilles. Unlucky.
I don't think he's a great player, but I think he's serviceable. He's absolutely free, which helps.
@DynastyZoltanFF I feel like I'm on another planet with these replies. I'd accept those offers even if I was contending. I was on the clock staring at price and offered the pick league wide for any 27 or 28 1st and got nothing.
I ended up adding 2.03 to my 1.07 to get the KC taken at 1.06
@GuruFantasyWrld The trickiest part for me is that not all 2nds are created equal. A contender bidding a 2nd is different than a rebuilder bidding a 2nd. It's almost as through the season should play out before you see who really bid the most.
It's the best idea I've heard yet though!
@DynoGameTheory Surprising to me that people want Daniels off the list. I'm all aboard with adding Caleb and Herbert, but the first guy I'm losing (if anyone) is Mahomes.
Odd that Hurts doesn't feel like an omission. Top 8 QB for 5 years running. Only Allen more consistently good.
