@1132455cc Hero role, legends speak of. Oddysseus is often called an antithesis to that title because he doesn't fit the standard formula of herosim........cough.....Florian....
@1132455cc it's ok reaching is how I survive in this economy. I was searching for a small thread I made long about the god, Anaxa and Cerces were based on (Odysseus and Circe) and if I'm honest, Odysseus also kinda reflects on Florian in that regard by not following the traditional-
@1132455cc Ok but seriously, Anaxa being willing to sacrifice his body for the cause the same way Florian puts himself into danger again and again. Both born out of confidence they have in their abilities
@1132455cc No bro you're not. He's so Anaxa coded. And if we want to take it further lowk we can package Phainon's heroism into the mix. He's like if Anaxa and Phainon had a baby. (Sorry)
@1132455cc Omg I SWEAR he's such a loser. I let them interact a while after and he enjoyed interacting with him and was like "Heh..maybe me and Richard can become good friends again.." YOU still want that man
I still laugh about this ss. About a month after my Florichard got married, Florian wanted a divorce. I decided to not interfere and let the game take its natural course. Florian was so destroyed afterwards, literally reminiscing about their relationship and moping around while-
Richard seemed to take it a lot "better", only really being sad at the initial break up. Florian asked me afterwards something along the lines of "Was this really the right choice?" Yo YOU wanted that divorce shsjshjdsj
@1132455cc No you're definitely right. The comparison with flowering is 100% valid. "Brand" in it's old ancient Germanic origin also means "Torch". Kind of like how a flower "lights up"/bears its blossoms when flowering. + The connection to fire..yeah I can see it
@1132455cc the lore, was SUCH a genius move. It's just drives in the fact how much Memories and his childhood plays into Florian's character. Even if it isn't "important" to us. It's important to him
~ This will be very self indulgent in its nature unlike an actual analysis of his ethnicity; Considering it's my username, I just wanted to reminisce about my childhood and how Florian reminds me of it with his experience.
@1132455cc Yess that's why Idv making Florian's ethnicity German and giving him typical traits of being one ('Cultural' dishes and his last name) despite his ethnicity NEVER playing an actual significant role in his adulthood lore/the manor lore people usually speak of when analyzing-
Florian staying connected with that part of his childhood. And just in general his whole mindset being a product of what he experienced as a young kid is probably one of the reasons I find his character so comforting. (+ I can realate to him on the ethnicity part hah..)
I think having to leave behind part of your childhood will one day just come back to you. On one hand by actively seeking it out and clinging to it. Or just by missing it so much that one day you have no choice but to find it again. This experience is pretty common actually
