Consider he following consumption tax structure:

1. Healthy foods 3%
2. High sugar content foods 7%
3. Fatty foods 7%
4. Alcohol 10%
5. Marijuana 25% (Make it legal)

Remember when tobacco was taxed at a high rate to hopefully eliminate the health care costs attributed to its addiction?

We must institute a tax system of fairness that holds those accountable for their own poor health choices. The rates would help the general fund and the federal programs that people are reaching out to.

Anyone else have a thought?

BTW. I believe we should tax trades on the market as well, but end all capital gains taxes.
