With the vision, “The world should depend on India”, India has launched the #Semicon2.0 program.
With an outlay of ₹1.27 lakh crore, this phase covers 6 pillars to build a complete #semiconductor ecosystem:
1️⃣ Help Indian companies to design #chips
2️⃣ Make machines & materials needed for chips
3️⃣ Set up factories (#fabs) to make chips
4️⃣ Build units to test, assemble & package chips
5️⃣ Fund research for advanced, next-gen chips
6️⃣ Train 1.4 lakh engineers in chip design & manufacturing.
Semicon 2.0 doesn’t merely aim to reduce dependence on imported chips, but to make India indispensable to the global semiconductor supply chain.
Semicon 1.0 having already approved 12 projects, supported 100+ design #startups and trained 85,000 semiconductor professionals, India now aims to train a total of 1.4 lakh engineers.
Praising the announcement, @IESAonline estimates #Semicon2Point0 could catalyse ₹5 lakh crore+ in private investment over 5–7 years for India.
India is no longer content to assemble the future. It intends to design it, manufacture it and make the world depend on it.
Union Home Minister @AmitShah said India is not a “dharmashala” and that illegal infiltration will not be allowed. He said the government is strengthening #BorderSecurity, using #Technology and tighter surveillance to prevent illegal entry and strengthen #NationalSecurity.
#USSenate passed a Russia sanctions bill threatening 100% tariffs on India for buying Russian energy. India responded with a rapid diplomatic and economic push:
🇷🇺 External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar’s #Russia visit accelerated India–EAEU FTA talks, opening pathways to Eurasian energy, critical minerals and rare earths, while advancing India–Russia maritime connectivity.
🇨🇳 NSA Doval’s #China visit produced an 8-point consensus on the boundary issue.
🇮🇳 Together, these engagements laid the groundwork for the crucial #BRICS Summit India will host in September.
🇯🇵 As #Japan and China sharply reduce US Treasury holdings, Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal revealed that out of the ₹7 lakh crore investment promised by Japan, ₹1 lakh crore target has already been achieved in just 10 months. Leading India’s largest-ever business delegation to Japan, he pursued cooperation in semiconductors, AI, manufacturing and resilient supply chains.
🇨🇦 As #Canada accused US of launching trade war, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Canada visit advanced the efforts to conclude bilateral trade talks by 2026-end and raise bilateral trade to ₹4.65 lakh crore by 2030.
Faced with #UStariffs coercion, India is redrawing its strategic map across markets, currencies, corridors and continents.
Disabled by multiple bullet wounds in the 1965 war, Indian Army soldier Murlikant Petkar refused to surrender.

Many of us may not be knowing that a quarrel on a cricket field led to the composition of *"Vande Mataram"*?
About 145 years ago, a dispute arose at the Barrack Square (now Square Field) ground in Berhampur, West Bengal, which inspired Bankim Chandra Chatterjee to write this patriotic song. If British Colonel Duffin hadn't attacked Bankim Babu during that cricket match, perhaps "Vande Mataram" might never have been written.
The controversy began with a cricket match in 1873, led by Colonel Duffin, the commanding officer of the Berhampur Cantonment. On the evening of December 15, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, then Deputy Collector and Deputy Magistrate at Berhampore (Baharampur), in Murshidabad district, during 1869–1874 was returning home in his palki. Palki bearers took a shortcut through the cricket ground, disrupting the game. In a fit of rage, Colonel Duffin stopped the palki, dragged Bankim Babu out, and punched him several times.
The incident occurred in front of several prominent individuals, including Principal Robert Hand, Reverend Barlow, Judge Bainrbidge, Raja Jogendra Narayan Ray of Lalgola, Durgacharan Bhattacharya, and several other British and Indian dignitaries.
On December 16, 1873, Bankim Babu filed a case against Colonel Duffin in the court of District Magistrate Mr. Winter in Murshidabad. Witnesses were called, but most British officers denied the incident. However, Principal Robert Hand, Raja Jogendra Narayan Ray, and Durgacharan Bhattacharya testified in Bankim Babu's favor.
The next hearing was scheduled for January 12, 1874. On that morning, thousands of Indian and European spectators gathered in court. During the hearing, Judge Bainbridge called the magistrate to his chamber and requested Bankim Babu to withdraw the case. Initially, he refused, but later agreed on the condition that Colonel Duffin apologize publicly. Eventually, Colonel Duffin apologized in court with folded hands.
The Indian youth erupted in applause, laughter, and "Ho-Ho" slogans. The British officers, enraged by the court's decision, secretly planned to assassinate Bankim Babu. Learning of this, Raja Jogendra Narayan Ray invited Bankim Babu to Lalgola, where he relocated in January 1874.
In Lalgola, Bankim Babu visited the Jagaddhatri, Durga, and Kali temples. There, he pondered how to unite India against British rule with a single "mantra". *Finally, on January 31, 1874, on the night of Maghi Purnima, he composed the 12-letter "Vande Mataram"*, igniting patriotism in Indians and striking fear into the British.
Later, parts of his novel "Anandamath" were published in the Bangadarshan magazine (Vol 7) in 1881, and the full book was released in 1882. The British pressured Bankim Babu to change the novel's content which he refused and quit from the post of Deputy Collector and Deputy Magistrate.
*Even 145 years later, "Vande Mataram" continues to evoke patriotism in us!* This incident proves how insult, the fight for justice, and the desire for freedom gave birth to "Vande Mataram". Today, this song still ignites the flame of patriotism in our hearts. *Vande Mataram!* 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Salutes To Bankim Chandra Chatterjee

Two and half decade ago, a young & dynamic MAJOR was one of the hand picked officers from Indian Army chosen to raise the 25th Battalion of The Rashtriya Rifles at district Doda in the erstwhile J&K state.
Major Sanjay Baduni hailing from Dehradun married for 5 years, was father of two beautiful little daughters. Those days of pre-mobile era and a very rare telephone connectivity, whenever Major Sanjay Baduni used to get time from his hectic anti-insurgency operations he would pen down something and keep it in his briefcase.
On 24 August in 1995, Major Sanjay received information of the presence of few terrorists at Dhara village of district Doda in J&K. Accordingly Major Baduni launched a search & destroy operation. On reaching village, Major Sanjay found that terrorist were hiding in a house where two children were also trapped. Major Baduni decided against to blow up the house and challenged the terrorists in a direct close combat gun fight.
In the ongoing fire fight Major Baduni received two bullets and later succumbed to injures. On that day to save my fellow children, in my home district MAJOR SANJAY BADUNI immortalized himself and left behind his own two small daughters, elder one aged 3 and a half years and younger of just 18 months.
Months later when Ms Kamal , his wife opened his brief case, she found a poem written by Major Sanjay for this two daughters, which says
“ My dearest Daughters
When You were born
And opened your eyes
To look at me
My World turned to be
All smile and laughters .... “
It may have taken just 25 minutes for Major Sanjay Baduni to draft these lines but it took 25 year for his wife Kamal to share the poem with his daughters.
SNUGGY & KANNU are grown up daughters now. They missed their father being around them because their father choose to protect unkown children on this day, 25 year ago.
For you all sharing the poem written by a Fauji Papa from battle field for his daughters.
Join me in paying homage to
MAJOR SANJAY BADUNI

Taking a direct bullet to his head, he refused to fall. Bleeding profusely from a fatal wound, this young Ghatak Commander eliminated his fourth terrorist at point-blank range & dragged a wounded comrade to safety before taking his final breath.
Most men would instantly collapse upon taking a gunshot wound directly to the head. What this 25-year-old fearless officer did to annihilate an entire infiltration module in the treacherous mountains of Gurez earned him Bharat’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
On the midnight of August 20, 2011, around 0030 hours, Lieutenant Navdeep Singh, serving as the ferocious Ghatak Platoon Commander with 15 Maratha Light Infantry, received critical intelligence regarding a heavily armed group of 17 infiltrating terrorists in the high-altitude Gurez sector of Jammu & Kashmir.
Displaying masterclass tactical acumen,
Lt Navdeep swiftly analyzed the treacherous terrain, predicted the hostiles' exact infiltration route, and laid a deadly, silent ambush. As the infiltrating pack walked into the kill zone, the fearless young officer sprung the trap.
Leading the charge from the absolute front, Lt Navdeep engaged the hostiles in fierce, point-blank combat, single-handedly eliminating three heavily armed terrorists in rapid succession. Suddenly, spotting a fourth hostile maneuvering to target his men, he completely disregarded his personal safety and swiftly repositioned himself to neutralize the threat.
In that split second, a fatal enemy bullet struck Lt Navdeep directly in the head.
Despite sustaining a catastrophic, life-threatening head wound and bleeding heavily, his warrior spirit completely refused to yield. With sheer, superhuman willpower, he locked onto the fourth terrorist and shot him dead on the spot. Even while losing blood at a rapid pace, the gallant commander crawled through the heavy crossfire to physically drag an injured comrade to hard cover, continuing to fire his weapon at the remaining infiltrators until he fell unconscious.
His supreme valor and sacrifice broke the back of the massive infiltration bid, leading to the elimination of 12 terrorists in total.
Lt Navdeep Singh made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, attaining eternal immortality.
For his indomitable spirit, terrifying raw courage, and extraordinary leadership under fire, Lieutenant Navdeep Singh was posthumously conferred the nation's highest peacetime gallantry award, the ‘Ashok Chakra’
He proved that an Indian Army Ghatak commander fights past the point of death itself to protect his men and the motherland.
Salute to this immortal legend.
Jai Hind 🇮🇳

These soldiers, drenched in rain, are not part of any PR exercise.
They need neither cameras nor applause to prove their patriotism.
The bitter words of some so-called “Gen Z” voices in Ladakh cannot diminish the dignity of our soldiers. The nation knows the conditions in which they stand guard.
People may return home when the weather turns harsh. Our soldiers do not let the weather change their duty.
The nation stood with them yesterday, stands with them today, and always will.
Modi govt destroyed the ISI-backed terror group Shahzad Bhatti Network ahead of Independence Day and thwarted its plans for subversive attacks by arresting more than 200 operatives.
Indian security forces ripped apart the network by launching coordinated operations across different locations in 14 states upholding a brilliant example of India's zero-tolerance towards terrorism.
