OK, I admit it. Having some FOMO with #ASH21 from home. Miss seeing my AML friends and colleagues in person but glad to see @jaltmanmd@Daver_Leukemia among others online this am. Will still try to tweet my favorite #FLT3 talks. First, QUIZ/DAC/Ven in FLT3-ITD AML #leusm
@MartinTallman This makes me so sad. He was one of my small group mentors when I did the @ASH_hematology@EHA_Hematology TRTH program in 2010. His encouragement had a huge impact on me. I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now without his mentorship and support. What a loss.
We're hiring! Come join a great team studying AML and therapeutic resistance (plus we're a lot of fun). Smith Lab - Assistant/Lab Manager in San Francisco, CA for University of California, San Francisco https://t.co/6gX3bBlzCw

Proud of this collaboration with Adam Abateโs lab describing genotypic and phenotypic discordance and evolution in AML at the single cell level. Read all about it! @UCSF@UCSFCancer
.@UCSF_BioE @SmithLabSF DAb-seq for simultaneous capture of DNA genotype and cell surface phenotype from single cells at high throughput.

Really excited about a piece of prelim data today and told family about it over dinner.
Daughter: "Are you going to win the Nobel Prize?"
Me: "Uh, no."
Son: "Will you get in Wikipedia?"
Me: "Uh, maybe?"
Both: "That's cool." Go back to eating.

โIโm afraid that white medical students wouldnโt follow or rank favorably a program with a black program director; [however] weโll be comfortable with you sharing a position as co-director with the previous [white male] program director.โ

A pleasure to see Kevin Shannon give todayโs 63rd Annual Faculty Research Lecture in Basic Science. @UCSF@UCSFCancer. Kevin is a model physician scientist, mentor and friend. Heโs not on Twitter but he deserves all the #MedTwitter love #leusm#mentor@ASH_hematology
