Last year, the History Center launched its first Teen Council! 24 teens from 14 schools explored community, history, and museums–connecting with peers at the Virginia Discovery Museum through the Smithsonian’s Democracy in Dialogue program.
Dr. Chism, the Smithsonian’s under secretary for Education, where she leads the institution’s educational priorities and national learning initiatives, visited Rolling Terrace to speak with staff and students about the strength of public education and the power of equity.
On Monday, Nov. 17, all Smithsonian museums, research centers, and the National Zoo will open at their regularly scheduled times. We look forward to seeing you!
