wannabe writer, gamer and mom friend. I like scritches, cuddles and forehead kisses. Proud of you ๐
I'm so tired.
It's time to wake up from this delusion I keep putting myself in.
It's time to realize that no one will ever put the same amount of effort into a relationship that I do.
I'm so tired of being the only one that seems to care in any so called "partnership"
If you're the only one reaching out and initiating communication in a relationship, you don't have a partner.
At best you have a disinterested parrot who will squawk back because you made noise.
Tbh I failed to put "stalked" on my 2023 apocalypse bingo card but here we go.
The universe out here reminding me that it is fucking terrifying to be a woman sometimes.
I'm very excited to start my new job this month. I think what the pandemic has taught me is that my mental and physical health cannot be given a price.
Also for funsies, my 2023 resolution is to live by the following:
"If it takes 5 minutes to do, do it now"
Nothing like applying for dozens of jobs, getting ghosted by them and possibly facing homelessness in 2 months.
"Go flip burgers then" say the boomers.
Karen, $15 an hr won't come close to making my rent. I already live incredibly frugally.
Maybe I should sell a kidney...
Vaccines work.
My stepfather, WW2 vet, die hard republican, turning 96 in 2 weeks, on oxygen, has COPD, fully vaccinated and boosted.
COVID for him was 3 days of a sore throat.
He is the target demographic for nearly all COVID stats. And here he is, laughing at the antivaxxers.
I can't remember where I heard this, but something that has helped me deal with rejection is remembering that "you are probably not what they NEED right now"
And likewise, someone might not be what YOU need right now.
We all want things.
There are specifics we NEED.
modern day tragedy:
Two white girls shopping at costco accidentally break a costco sized jar of pickles and they both stood there, watching the brine soak into their groceries while contemplating the choices that brought them there.
