📍Mulam Ukhrul Manipur
This is what the right wing media & presstitudes don’t want to show you. After surrounding the village whole night, at dawn, Tangkhul Terrorists NSCN-IM attacked Kuki village Mulam burning houses and injuring several civilians.

These two hardy Thangkai village folk were just heading uphill towards the Village's Water Source to repair it as can clearly be seen from the video.
What could've possibly possessed the Tangkhul militants to abduct them in broad daylight and went as far as they did?

Even as news was coming in that Kukis had released all 18 Tangkhul hostages, the bodies of two Kuki men were discovered with multiple injury marks.
Earlier yesterday, three Kuki civilians who had gone to repair water pipes were reportedly captured by NSCN-IM cadres. When the news spread, Kuki villagers detained some Tangkhul travellers and demanded that the three Kukis be released. Videos of the detained Tangkhuls being escorted in their vehicles soon went viral.
Tangkhul civil society organizations wrote to the Chief Minister of Manipur seeking the safe release of the Tangkhul civilians. Meanwhile, the Kuki CSOs and Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen were conspicuously silent, due to which the print media largely reported only about the 18 Tangkhul hostages.
In the meantime, hectic discussions reportedly took place regarding a possible exchange. Kuki churches also pressured Kuki village volunteers to release the unarmed Tangkhul civilians. Late at night, the Kukis released the 18 Tangkhuls in good faith, expecting that the Tangkhul side would also release the three Kuki civilians.
However, in the morning, two Kuki men were found dead, with their hands and legs tied and eyes blindfolded. There were clear signs of severe torture. Another Kuki civilian is reportedly in police custody.
Questions That Now Arise
- What was the intention of NSCN-IM in capturing Kuki civilians in the first place?
- Why did the Kuki CSOs release the Tangkhul civilians without securing the exchange of the three Kukis?
- Why did Chief Minister N. Biren Singh speak only about the release of the Tangkhul hostages and not about the Kuki civilians? Was there any larger political calculation behind this?
- Why did the Kuki Deputy Chief Minister, Nemcha Kipgen, remain silent during this critical moment?
If the tensions escalate into open conflict, who will take responsibility for the consequences?
Did Tangkhul Baptist leaders make any effort or apply pressure to ensure the safe release of the Kuki civilians?
This incident raises serious humanitarian and political concerns. Civilians must never be targets, and protecting innocent lives must remain the priority for all sides.

The second day of President Herzog's visit to Australia.
Hundreds of Jewish children welcome the president with a rendition of "Am Yisrael Chai" at Moriah College (the largest Jewish Day School in Australia).
The Kuki-Zo community has unequivocally conveyed its demand for Separate Administration from Manipur and no participation in the formation of the Popular Government in Manipur through a public rally today. The Government must acknowledge the urgent pleas of the persecuted minority, who are victims of ethnic cleansing orchestrated by the majority Meitei community under the watchful eyes of the Government of India.
Our demands are firmly grounded in the Constitution, seeking protection from persecution and deprivation. Refusal to address these demands will be tantamount to condoning the ongoing ethnic cleansing. The Government of India must act promptly to ensure the safety and rights of the Kuki-Zo community, upholding the principles of justice and equality enshrined in the Constitution. The continued silence is deafening and unacceptable.
