Q3 for $SNAP will be spectacular.
Layoff effects will become visible, memory storage grace period ends, Specs launch, and Snap+ growth continues (due to upselling from storage plans)…
The crucible moment has arrived.
2026 will be among the most consequential years for $SNAP.
Today, we’re introducing a new experience for teens under 16 on Snapchat, designed so they can share the content they create on Spotlight exclusively with accepted friends. More here: https://t.co/h3ytyimp88
$SNAP Specs Instagram pages have been updated with the new brand design, ready for launch! AWE 2026 will be headlined by @evanspiegel and Bobby Murphy on June 16.
Snap $SNAP CEO Evan Spiegel says AI is already transforming how the company builds software, with more than two-thirds of new code now written by AI.
Speaking on the “Cheeky Pint” podcast in April, Spiegel said companies may start shifting resources away from traditional software engineering as AI tools become more capable.
He said Claude is changing software development across Snap’s entire organization, helping teams build products faster and with fewer engineers.
Projects that once required full teams can now be tested with a fraction of the time and staffing, according to Spiegel.
That shift is changing who gets to build software. Spiegel said Snap designers are now increasingly shipping code themselves, something he called “really wild.”
He also said AI lets Snap experiment with new services using as little as half of one team member’s time, then distribute those ideas through Snapchat.
As coding becomes easier, Spiegel believes distribution is becoming more valuable.
His view is that the hard part may no longer be simply building software, but getting attention, traction and users.
The comments reflect a bigger trend across tech: AI is not just improving productivity, it is forcing companies to rethink the role of engineers, designers and product teams.
For Snap, AI could mean faster product cycles, leaner teams and more pressure on software engineers to adapt.
@JonahLupton@RandianCapital@alexeheath We might get more clarity on this during AWE June 16.
Perhaps the content will become clearer in the days leading up to the event, since this was part of the announcement 29
April: Additional Specs Inc. sessions will be added to the AWE conference agenda over the coming weeks
@JonahLupton@RandianCapital A price of around $2,500, according to reporting from journalist @alexeheath via his Sources newsletter.
No official price has been announced by $SNAP.
I'm back in $SNAP for all the reasons I've said before. NGL I thought I might have fumbled badly after selling for a nice six fig print. It's hard to believe we are still under $6 a week before AWE 2026 but it is what it is and I get to re-enter with size again. Heavy in shares light on options this time.
Price is what it is. People have not wised up from old narratives. SBC has been reduced, buybacks have increased and FCF has grown. Every quarter is solidifying a trend of growing strength. User activity is sticky and free memories are about to expire in September. On top of that- a great acquisition and a credit rating bump under current macro environment.
The wild card that has cost >$3.5B of R&D spend is about to go from pre-revenue to a hot growth sector. Why call for it to be canceled? Spatial AI is Physical AI, one you wear instead of your robot. Jensen Huang is betting big on it and Snap is early. Everyone that pushed for Spectacles to be canned should remember what they tried to destroy. It's not guaranteed to succeed, but the stars are aligned to not let it fly.
$SNAP wild that there is literally zero pulse on wall street over specs - stock bleeding out. if this was the big moment, wouldnt there be more around it. so far $qcom deal thats it. owning $SNAP has been a cruel and unusual torture, the other day when it was ripping over $6, i said, u always get a chance to buy it down big. and here we are today. it was a private convo with @RandianCapital who gets it... 6 trading days from evans keynote....
Anyone can vibe-code anything basically. Distribution and hardware will be the moat going forward.
@evanspiegel understandably got tired of $META instantly copying any decent feature $SNAP launches. It’s a lot more difficult copying the entire ecosystem (Specs).
Is everyone just ignoring $SNAP spectacles?
Look at the quality of this display and game on meta ray bans. Are you kidding me?
If Specs are functional and not butt ugly, they’re going to be a hit..
$SNAP acquired @Illumix to learn more about Illumix and Kirin here is a link to an interview starts at 19:50min
