It’s not often I tweet about work, but delighted to be part of the team that won the Boarding Schools Association’s Supporting Junior Boarders award for our new Flexi & occasional provision. #iloveboarding
@TfL Please sorry comms out at The station missed yet another train due to being told the wrong platform , after being confirmed by control - this no beyond a joke!
@TfL been waiting for an Elizabeth Line train to Slough from Ealing Broadway for over 2hours, which I’m not concerned about. But train final due at a packed platform 3 at 1928, message at 1926, train now stopping at platform 1. Gates to platform 1 locked, lucky no injuries!!
@TfL Sorry, but you can’t change platforms 1 minute before a train is due it keeps happening! This time 3038 train to Heathrow. People rushing to new platform disaster waiting to happen. This really isn’t good enough!
Great day of 7s at Henley Rugby Football Club — youthful exuberance from Saracens edged out the experience of the British Army Rugby Union in a cracking final.

A good Good Friday at Chinnor: a 42–12 win over Cambridge.
It was 14–12 at half-time before Chinnor pulled away with 28 unanswered points; a vital result in the push for a possible play-off place.

Okay let’s discuss this in a little depth and hopefully some folk will learn something. Every day should be a school day. First, I was in the RN for eleven years. Four ships, and was involved in two relatively small fires plus innumerable fire exercises at sea and alongside /1

Bear Grylls on the gap between what made him famous and what he actually cares about.
Bear: "You become known for something. If you win Wimbledon at eighteen, you will be asked about that final for the rest of your life."
Climbed Everest aged 21. SAS Soldier. Host of Man vs Wild.
"I will always be asked about the worst thing I've ever eaten, drinking my own pee, Obama, breaking my back, the military, Everest."
Every interview. Same questions. Every day.
"Our boys say journalists are obsessed with the SAS and Everest. It's fine. It just gets a little tiring if you're doing a lot of press."
The survival feats built the brand. But they overshadow the mission.
"I much prefer talking about life. I prefer talking about other people."
Running Wild changed the model.
"I did seven seasons of Man Vs Wild before. Now I take rookies, guide them, watch them grow."
From lone warrior to mentor.
"I've loved encouraging young people as Chief Scout.”
The contrast:
Early career: prove you can survive anything.
Now: help others survive their own storms.
"I am more excited about other people's journeys. Your great stuff is ahead of you. The storms will make you."
One sells. One fulfills.
"Those struggles will be the making of you. You deserve what is coming."
The headlines stay the same.
But the mission evolved years ago.
Take the train they said, be easy they said. Waiting at a red light - missed two connecting trains! Hopefully be in bath for the second half of Eng A v NZ XV
