@TheOnlyChoy I just heard about this from Otz and had to come offer my support. I had leukemia last year (AML) and spent seven months fighting it. It's rough, but it's beatable, and I hope that soon you can join me on the other side as a survivor.
@soumyapm77 @TheLiBarryan @paolini Look, I could accept *genuine* Old Norse being used as a stand-in for an ancient language, but a language that's basically English with all the words replace and a few grammatical features thrown on after the fact to try and distinguish it? That breaks suspension of disbelief.
@soumyapm77 @TheLiBarryan @paolini The difference between English words "inspired by" ancient languages and Ancient Language words that are just Old Norse or Old English words is that the English words are linguistic evolutions and loan words and the Ancient Language words are lazy conlanging.
Me, writing: I must get the description of this wrought-iron fence that I remember from my childhood exactly right, down to the bumps and bubbles in the many coats of paint., no matter how long it takes.
Me, editing: *deletes three pages of description; inserts "a fence"*
