@DonnaNimmoSmith @RossKneeDeep The taxes on Social Security go to fund Social Security as part of the deal Tip O'Neil and Reagan made to save the Social Security trust fund. Stopping those taxes will make the trust fund will go bust sooner and lower the payouts. This will ruin many seniors.

@SkylerforNY Yes, especially in dairy-heavy places like Idaho because seasonal workers under bracero programs can't fill the needs of dairies. I imagine Trump will just lie and say he's deported them when he hasn't, but if he does, the economy in a lot of states will collapse.

I'd add, the journos doing post-mortems ignore their role in this result: Not reporting Trump's obvious mental deterioration and both-sidesing the issues left low-info voters not realizing how bad Trump is.
