1st baby: You sign up to everything for fear of missing out. Even if a lot of them are pricey. There are so many classes to do and you don’t want to miss the best one. Plus your friends are doing them all too and you NEED to socialise.

3rd baby: Baby classes are a distant memory as funds are low and your older children are too old to even faintly entertain the idea of a shared class. Stay and Play groups will become your favourite hangouts as you can man the exit and let the kids do their own thing.

Paternity Leave

1st baby: It’s a haze of tears and sleep deprivation. Neither of you has a clue so you muddle through. Your partner feels lost in what they can do & ends up chief drinks maker for endless guests. Their return to work is feared & brings on yet more tears and panic

3rd baby – Two adults at home full time? This is basically a relaxing holiday. Or you’ll get some jobs done when your older children are in childcare, because you won’t get any visitors this time, and turns out having two adults to one baby is a breeze.
