We count the work that earns wages. We often ignore the work that makes earning possible. Cooking. Caring. Organising. Holding life together.
This is care work - and women do most of it, unpaid. Who cares? We all should.

Chameli was always a go-getter. What helped her step out was the support at home and shared responsibilities.
A father-in-law who pushed her to aim higher.
A husband who adjusted routines so she could travel for work in Odisha.
With that backing, she is now guiding farmers and raising climate awareness in her village through the #ECRICC project, supported by the @theGCF, @moefcc, the Govt of Odisha and @UNDP_India

The gap is right in front of us. 👀
Women in India spend 301 minutes a day on unpaid work. Men spend 98.
That’s 3⃣ times more - and it shows up in lost time, lost opportunity and lost rest. ⏳
Fairness must begin with everyday choices.
When men take on regular household tasks, families share care more evenly & children grow up seeing equality at home. 👨👩👧
That’s what #GharSeShuru is about - men stepping in, not stepping back.
One shared responsibility. One shift toward fairness. #16Days
🎞️The impossible dream for women in the '80s remains a dream today for too many.
Especially in crisis contexts: 🚺 spend 4x more time on unpaid care work, shattering work-life balance hopes.
