The Campaign Evolved Magnum is also missing its "力" kanji as well, which can be seen on the bottom of the gun's magazine in Halo CE, as well as the CE magnum from Halo 5 as well.
The base of the magazine also appears to be rounded off and not flat like the other Halo Magnums.
@Halo Here's a thing I noticed recently.
The Campaign Evolved Magnum is missing its "七" kanji, even though it appeared on the Halo CE and Halo 5 Magnums.
Interestingly, you can kind of make out the kanji on the Magnum reload animation seen during the Roundtable Reveal video.
@theffapanda You should still do your due diligence and report cheaters when you see them (even if they're on your team), but don't assume everyone is on the same team as one is doing it as well.
@theffapanda I will never defend cheaters in Halo, but not every person on the same team as a cheater is doing it alongside them.
A lot of cheaters occupy ranked mode where games are few and far between and you're likely to get matched with the same people a lot, some of them being cheaters
@Pirat_Nation The comments are off because a small but vocal minority of Halo fans REALLY hate seeing Halo Studios "shove politics into Halo" and will just spam hateful messages in the comments.
At the end of the day, a Twitter comment section is only as civil as its most rational bigot...
@ThelVanDamne That, coupled with the significantly more limited Multiplayer armor customization tied almost exclusively to the random Lootbox REQ Packs and the dedicated server issues that still persist to this day, and it's not hard to see why some fans feel a bit negative about this game.
@ThelVanDamne The game is fine, but it doesn't live up to the story that was being built up from Halo 4.
I know it's subjective, but a lot of Halo 5's issues stem from a lack of narrative cohesion, particularly involving the game's marketing campaign and its decisions involving Cortana.
@theffapanda Halo Infinite effectively already got permanent Double XP for all game modes when Operation Infinite started.
MCC is harder to justify not having it, but it's likely they don't have the infrastructure to support it?
They don't even have support people working during weekends.
@jcjgraham I could be wrong, but I think it takes more to develop a game than just Level Design...
This feels like an attack on the devs at Halo Studios. If the game turns out bad, it'll be "same old 343 again". If it turns out good, it'll be "well yeah because they didn't make the game."
@jcjgraham So are we all going to ignore that not only is this report NOT CONFIRMED, but even if it is true based on this one picture from Rebs, it only indicates that Abstraction has been working on the game for a year or so, and aren't working on things like music, graphics and enemy AI?
@ThelVanDamne Defending Halo 5 is your choice, but any rational person would realize that defending a game that is generally lambasted by the rest of the community will cause said community to assume you are a shill for the devs.
To them, Halo 5 represents all of what 343 did wrong with Halo.
@ThelVanDamne Since we're now choosing not to read comments, I'll reiterate:
Halo 5 barely works offline, requiring a dedicated Microsoft Store server emulator on PC to play Custom Games.
On Series X/S, the first Multiplayer game on boot up will ALWAYS fail to load.
Are these NOT issues???
@ThelVanDamne - The game doesn't work offline and requires (I sh*t you not) a dedicated Halo 5 PC Server emulator from the Microsoft Store to run offline Custom Games.
- THE FIRST MULTIPLAYER GAME WONT LOAD ON SERIES X/S
- There is no Splitscreen multiplayer.
There's your gameplay issues.
@ThelVanDamne Halo 5's story is mid, all cosmetics are randomized and tied to REQ packs, armor can only be equipped in sets, skill-based matchmaking means most lobbies can't match with each other, the first multiplayer game on boot up WON'T LOAD ON SERIES X/S.
That's why Halo 5 MIGHT BE BAD.
@ThelVanDamne Nobody said you can't like Halo 5. It does do a lot of things better than Halo Infinite, but there are genuine issues with the game, its monetization and its story direction that haven't sit well with a lot of people.
On Series X/S the first Multiplayer game on boot up wont load
@ThelVanDamne That also doesn't address any of the other things I mentioned either.
Halo 5 is fine, but it made a lot of poor decisions like inability to customize individual armor pieces, all the unlockable items tied to the random REQ packs, the list goes on and can't be ignored.
@ThelVanDamne That being said, good luck finding a game on anything except one of the Fiesta game modes.
SWAT, Infection, BTB, all tied to skill-based Matchmaking. It's not that nobody is playing them (only partially true), it's that the game will literally not match you with people.
@ZombieCupcake64 If you want to find games in Halo 5, you got to play the Fiesta game modes, as the skill-based Matchmaking isn't a factor there. Ranked Slayer also is populated, but is exceptionally sweaty and toxic.
This doesn't solve the loading issues with Matchmaking on Series X/S though.
@ZombieCupcake64 Halo 5 Warzone is great fun, but it's difficult to get into because the game not only has aggressive skill-based Matchmaking but also there's an issue with the game when played on the Series X/S where the first Multiplayer game you load into on boot up will ALWAYS fail to connect
