@stclairashley My daughter said "dad, I'm a lesbian"
I looked at her and said "ook"
Then she said "you're supposed to say 'i thought you were american'"
Kid knows her memes
@helpfulcomm@hus_qy@JKl2e@SarahJamieLewis Context is everything. Intellectual elitism is rampant here. Scientists and mathematicians are slinging mud at each other (as always) based on what they know and what they think others don't know. I simply observe the time and space and look for context. @Austen What's the root cause of the problem? Could you offer any of them a seat on one of your courses? If you could turn even one of their lives around it could have amazing consequences.
@c___f___b Maybe r/cc mods can also explain why user/gideonheinrich is made into a mod after being a redditor for 1 single day.
Honestly @c___f___b the r/cc mods are not of sound mind enough to be worth your time and BTC. Reddit is a cesspool 100x more depraved and corrupted than 4chan.
This makes me rage inside. Amazon sells 98% useless fucking shit that you and your kids don't need. Starve Amazon to death before Bezoz makes his escape. Change your consumerist mindset.
@JamesJaded xXx's Zander Cage is better tbh. You still get all the womanizing, weapons and gadgets but you also get a Latinx, lesbian and PoC heros. It's basically a bond film but more social justicayyy lmao
Love this strong and intelligent young woman! I show your interviews and speeches to my young daughter to show her that being young doesn't mean being powerless. She's become very conscious of plastic, food waste and need vs want. You're giving us all hope for a better future.
@SnopowAUS Forget land above 0.5 acres, you can feed a family of 5 with a 25’x50’ plot. Realistically, no one should be having families of 5 anymore with what we know about population and climate change, so even this is a lot. Add in community cooperation on fruit trees and you are set.
@particul8syndq8@BIS_org Further to this, creating a functioning alternative to SWIFT payment processing would negate the threat of economic sanctions as SWIFT is used as the main lever (weapon?) to enforce economic sanctions. Basically Libra, Bitcoin etc have the capacity to neutralize gov power.
Wealth transfers across borders is the crux of the issue re Libra vs US. @BIS_org should have created it's own publicly available international settlement layer for users and dropped prices but then bankers wouldn't be getting super rich eh? Put the microscope on the BIS et al.
@particul8syndq8@BIS_org 2/2 they will protect at all costs. Any permissions p2p payment system is a real and looming threat to that control. The BIS and Central banks had ample time and opportunity to create a cryptocurrency of their own but they prefer to protect the current SWIFT et al infrastructure
@particul8syndq8@BIS_org SWIFT apparently handles $5 trillion per day through 10,000 member institutions sending 24 million messages. SWIFT is basically digital currency 1.0, highly centralized, expensive, network intensive and very lucrative. Other currencies that can execute smart contracts threaten it
@particul8syndq8@BIS_org International monetary policy (Central banks) is born from the BIS. The current financial system is a series of choke points used as levers to control fiat economies ie; inflation, CDF's, treasury bonds etc etc. It pays a lot of people's very big wages and bonuses that 1/2
@particul8syndq8@BIS_org As we know, permissionless systems negate the need for hundreds/thousands +++ employees in the current banking paradigm. They will stall Libra until they are ready to release their own e-coin. All of their massive banking profit is under threat. People don't want to pay the fees.
