I would add that after nearly 2 years of autocratic leadership to turn the place around, this has not occurred.

Could it be that perhaps a different approach is needed?

Maybe one that is first centred on real spiritual revival coupled with bringing in an entrepreneurial team that actually is experienced in real world commercial turnarounds.

The CBCEW has nothing more to lose.

Father Steven, you are spot on. Having lived locally for the last 7 years, the Trust had every opportunity to avoid this sad state of affairs, both spiritually and organizationally. Many constructive solutions have been offered. I pray for the day that the Trust come to their senses and realise school groups are the future: children are the future of the church in spiritual terms; commercially it makes sense as one school group books out Elmham House and its typically subsidised unlike the dying breed of parish groups. Nowhere is the importance of this rebirth more poignant than in Walsingham, once on par with Jerusalem and Santiago, visited by our Kings and Queens, before Henry VIII triggered centuries of persecution on the One True Faith. Competent people repeatedly offered to help extract the Trust from years of mismanagement and decline, only to be rebuffed. Experienced staff were “asked to leave” under the pretense of cost-cutting, yet the same roles are now being advertised at higher salaries. Local talent has been systematically dismissed, told they’re unwanted, or unceremoniously shown the door. This has destroyed any remaining goodwill in the community, especially as the Trust was such a large local employer. Consequently, no qualified candidates will relocate from major cities to rural Norfolk for these positions. It’s akin to a diabetic refusing insulin while preferring to cure the condition by eating more donuts. I can reassure you, Deacon Tom, that Matthew 18’s process for addressing conflict has been exhausted. Private confrontation was attempted; “witnesses” were brought. We are now at step 3, if not 4, of Christ’s mandate. Remaining silent about such spiritual rebellion would be unconscionable—the same silence that enabled previous church scandals to fester unchallenged. I don’t say any of this because I want to bring the Trust down or bring the shrine into disrepute - it’s already done that itself. The fact that you, Father, are posting this is testament to that. I say all of this because I am a faithful Catholic who wants the shrine to succeed. I want young people in this country to visit the shrine so that Catholicism - i.e., Christ’s established church on earth - has a rebirth in this country. The martyrs did not die for a 1980s barn which has manoeuvred itself to a point it can’t handle the future of the faith, our children.

When Laurence Fox made an off colour joke re not wanting to shag a journalist on my GB News show, the MSM led on the story for days, sent film crews outside my house and eventually hounded me out of a job.
I presume the same thing is happening to James O’Brien who has quite clearly encouraged someone taking a shot at Trump live on his LBC show.
Or is this even more proof that the mainstream media is corrupt and an enemy of the people?
