@MichaelRosenYes@colwight Colin is a pompous PolProf who has a simplistic empiricist understanding of ‘facts’. Yet as anyone can tell from his ramblings across various posts, his ‘facts’ are mediated through socio-political agendas. But then again, ‘facts’ invariably are mediated in this way.
@jasonhickel Considering 100s are losing their jobs in UK academia, I don’t think this is a major issue to worry about in the sector. Who knows - maybe the academic using AI did so out of desperation to maintain their ‘employability’. The neoliberal REF is also a major issue.
@JohnCleese Just a reminder that John Cleese used to support the Liberal Party. Yet another reminder that beneath liberal politics lurks a nasty right-wing underbelly.
@MrMatthewTodd Labour have been, and are, appalling, especially to all versions of the Left. Labour are run by cranks. They deserve to lose the by-election, and I hope they do.
@labourlewis@We_OwnIt It’s too late Clive. The moment for many of us trusting Labour has gone. People like Simons, let alone Starmer, have been appalling.
@DanLord78 The hateful hard right of Labour (or so-called ‘centrists’) are the extremists. The only hope for Labour is that these cranks are purged from the party.
