Yesterday launch was (finally) a big success 🔥

Snowball was NOT featured for more than half of the day...

...BUT we managed to catch up and reach the top 4 thanks to YOU ALL 🔥

Here's the full recap of everything that happened:

1) Launch preparation

▪︎ Mostly created assets for the PH launch page 🎨
▪︎ creating a software to showcase the launch with a livestream 👨‍💻
▪︎ adding PH "Live" banner to my website
▪︎ creating special discount codes in Stripe to drive sales %
▪︎ updating the landing page to be more attractive 💅
▪︎ creating launch post for X (on @Snowball_club ❄️)
▪︎ setting up the livestream with OBS ⚙️
▪︎ making sure the basic sign up flow for new customers works
▪︎ schedule the launch post for 12:01 PST 📅
▪︎ write a check list for the launch day of everything to do in order ☑︎
▪︎ SLEEP at least 6 hours to survive the next day 😂

2) Launch day

▪︎ wake up 1h before the start ⏰
▪︎ fire up the livestream and make sure everything works well (with QR Code for upvotes) 🔴
▪︎ post about the launch everywhere I could: product hunt forum, IndieHackers, hackernews, reddit, bluesky ✍️
▪︎ attached the live stream under my launch post so people can't miss it
▪︎ sent 60+ DMs asking for support to the list of people I myself upvoted previously 📩
▪︎ update my X launch post every 1h about number of votes or any kind of updates like asking for support to reach next place, or not being featured etc
▪︎ replied like a madman to EVERY comment on X, ProductHunt, Reddit, IH, etc ⚡
▪︎ self reposted the main launch post every 6 hours to boost impressions 🔁
▪︎ engaged on the feed with some people to show up on more feeds myself 💬
▪︎ Set up a quick email campaign with @resend to ask Snowball existing user base for support 💌

3) How I got featured

▪︎ 4 hours in I realize Snowball was NOT featured 😱
▪︎ I was obviously upset so I decided to take action
▪︎ DMd ProductHunt's CEO Rajiv Ayyangar (@rajivayyangar) 📩
▪︎ Sent email to the support [email protected] 📧
▪︎ Both to explain the situation: asking what was wrong and trying to understand why Snowball was not featured
▪︎ Waited a bit: no answer 😐
▪︎ So decided to tweet about it and tagged @ProductHunt on a few posts to let them know 📢
▪︎ After a few hours, finally got a reply from their support: they "missed" it during the initial review 🙇‍♂️
▪︎ SNOWBALL WAS FINALLY FEATURED 🎉 and now we had to catch up on votes 🏃💨
