As an athlete, you should be training your mind just as much as you train your body. Likewise, coaches should teach mental skills just as much as they teach physical skills.
Five steps to entering the zone:
1. Quiet your mind and relax your body
2. Be positive
3. Focus on the task at hand
4. Give your best effort
5. Trust your instincts
Entering the zone can be difficult, but if you keep trying these five things, you can do it!
Mental toughness is the ability to maintain peak performance through stress (pressure, adversity), discomfort (fatigue, pain), distractions (crowd noise, media), and also success (boredom, complacency).

PLAYERS: A coach's job is not to make you happy. A coach's job is to make you better. They may not always say things that you like. But take advantage of the opportunities you have to improve yourself and the team.
