trying to not break things or make them any worse..
A real person, not a bot, just does a job that isn't professionally prudent to clearly identify yourself
@LowCarbonD61778 My father in law is very impressed with our heat pump. He would like one. Has an elderly oil heating system. He lives in N.Ireland. there are no supported grants and there are no installers over there that he can find. Niche market for a small population etc
@GeoffNorcott enjoy your show, don't always agree, but enjoy. Listening to Monday's show I would like to counter your assertion that @Ed_Miliband doesn't like and won't allow us nuclear power. https://t.co/z66QIcU3xt
@gabyhinsliff@guardian https://t.co/W4CHqe0bPc this is an excellent article. The only addition I would have made is not only trying to be good fathers, but also good husband's. Lots of food for thought in this article.
@Earth2075 Yes. You are right.
I just wish people listened to real world users rather than all the doom and gloomers in the right wing media. An HP isn't for everyone, in some houses the retrofitting is just too painful, but most 70's onwards houses it is possible
@lewis_goodall@TheNewsAgents Was an amazing interview. The insight into that speech was incredible and his future view around green tech was similarly strong. A great PM we never had.
I genuinely am in love with this ugly beast. It's cheaper to run than my gas boiler and the house is warmer and is really quiet #heatpumplove@OctopusEnergy it was installed by @OctopusEnergy too
@aDissentient We've had the house disconnected from the gas, and that's saving loads with the gas standing charge gone. We have gallons of hot water for showers and baths. Never run out
@aDissentient One new radiator, to better manage the heating, but that was easy. No UFH required. It's inaudible inside the house and quieter outside than the gas boiler. It's basically better and greener.
The UK Met Office is inviting people to suggest up to 5 names for storms.
Apparently lots of people have been suggesting "Storm Bigoil", along with BP, Equinor, Exxon & Shell...
This is definitely not something to be emulated by sharing this link: https://t.co/2fBvbytA7D
@bphillipsonMP@UKLabour Excellent news. Something definitive to show for a labour government. The empirical evidence shows sure start made a huge impact into working class children's lives and their families, it was awful it got axed. Brilliant
@MartinSLewis I have a small pot from a short term career change and then returned to the NHS. Didn't think about it at the time, now I can't seem to move it anywhere and it's past the point to transfer into NHS scheme. Any advice?
@MartinSLewis Father in law kindly loaned us money to buy a car when the PCP finance finished. We paid off the final amount to finance company, used the car for a few years and paid him back at the same rate that we paid the finance company, but at 0% interest. It was much appreciated
@TomCruise just back from the cinema from watching the latest Mission impossible movie. Wow. Amazing. Can't decide if the plane scenes were more incredible than the submarine scenes. The score was perfect too. You are right "go and see it in the theatre (cinema).
