Still intending to switch to Bluesky, but I rise from my long slumber to shout out @RealKrystalFox, a thoroughly wonderful person who made my first Scotiacon absolutely magical.
I don't usually gush about guests of honour, but she gets an exception. Gave her this to take home.
@RealKrystalFox Holy crap, I relate to this right now. I had to let go of something I was holding onto at Scotiacon this weekend.
(Scotia was a bit of a rollercoaster for me. The rest of the con was easier after I let go.)
@WebstersYouTube Also, by coincidence, JayzTwoCents has done a video where he's trying to build a PC of as similar specs as possible for the same price. Interesting viewing. https://t.co/OL4YRVMNr5
It's time for some changes. Quite a lot of them, in fact.
TLDR: sometime soon, I'll be leaving this account, and Twitter, and moving elsewhere. See thread for explanation.

The things I'm most undecided on - and have looked into least - are alternatives to YouTube and Twitter. If anyone has any good recommendations for these, I'll be extra appreciative. Open source options get top consideration.

@WebstersYouTube Seven hundred Quid is absolutely a valid price point for an entry-level PC that could easily be expanded later.
At least this isn't the PS5's initial release price. I guess they learned something when they tried that with the PS3. (Which was their last good home console, IMO.)
This thing's still VERY rough, but rather than just making a text adventure of my own, the idea is for it to be a basic tool for quickly making simple text adventure RPGs. Let me know if this interests you.
