This post is so misleading is unbelievable. Let’s look at the facts.

$5 -> $50. This is a 900% increase. Not 100% not 200%, but 900% price increase.

So, take Apple’s MacBook Pro.

The 16GB of memory use to cost 16x$5 = $80.

Now, it costs. 16x$50 = $800

Now let’s take a look at Apple’s price increase due to the memory going up.

The MacBook price increase was $300, so Apple is eating $500 which Micron is now taking in profits.
