@Jamesgr9714 @DonaldJrPeebles I believe that it is still Black lead. The characters that are coming in are recurring, not contract. That has to be noted. My biggest concern with BTG is I think the show has too many characters-Black & white. As a still fairly new show, flesh out the core characters more.

@DonaldJrPeebles @Jamesgr9714 I get it too. But let’s be real. NO network will continue to support a show that exclusively Black. That is just a fact. For what it’s worth, I LOVE Beyond the Gates. Can it stand for some improvement? Yes. But I believe in the show and its phenomenally talented team.

@dcconfidential @Jamey_Giddens @YandR_CBS PLUS, I believe one of the cornerstone elements of that glamour was a focus on the cosmetics industry via Jabot Cosmetics. These business stories of the last decade plus have been…not good. I hope Jamey & Dan lean back into cosmetics. It could be a very good stage setting.

While it continues to look good, it lost its way after Bill Bell died; though there was no reason for it to. Bill built a team who could carry on his legacy. But the network had other ideas. 🫤

@AlanSarapa Although she is with Beyond the Gates, I would love Natalie Minardi Slater as HW for Y&R. She had a 30+ year history with Y&R, was a Bill Bell protege and rumored to be Kay Alden’s successor. Perhaps pair her with Janice Ferri Esser… if both could be convinced to return.

@adlangford There was more chemistry between Leo and Gus than there was with Leo and nuJavi… but perhaps that is where they are going with the story.
