A woman sent me a message today about a conversation she overheard at church—a group of teens & adults ranting angrily about LGBTQ ppl, how they pose a threat to the nation, etc etc.
So do you know what she did?

One of my infection prevention approaches when [rarely] meeting new people in person is to lead with:
"I am fully vaccinated & boosted against COVID & flu. I will be wearing an N95 mask because I'm immunosuppressed. It would be awesome if you could wear a highly-rated mask too."
Talk to your kids about intrusive thoughts. They’re more common than you may realize, and they can be disturbing and scary. Kids don’t know what they are, and they aren’t likely to share they are having them. I cannot even begin to tell you the relief upon learning what they are-
@gender_hoarder For real. As a clinician who worked for them for a hot minute, I can also tell you they do not support therapists well enough for us to meet the ethical standards of our profession. It's a mess.
@drdevonprice OTOH, in those RARE cases where the lived experience of presenting femme and having female bodies matters to the workshop, conversation, etc - what's the best way to express that?
My friend who is a Chief Diversity officer shared that there have been a growing number of complaints by white faculty and staff that the jobs were being reserved for people of color and that their voices were being silenced.
They decided to look at the numbers.

@Dr_MatthewJones I'm looking forward to getting off insurance because they serve only themselves. Both clients AND providers get played. Seeing enough clients to make a reasonable income is a burnout pace for most of us
