Hey folks - we'd love to move off this site. Please follow our new account on Bsky at https://t.co/EPLXrz0Bpl. We're also on FB and Insta but don't do much there. For chitchat, support, and community, let's try the blue one. Thank you!

Very true. Impossible for the current index-based, gated, restricted system of publishing to continue to drive hiring and promotion decisions. Open access is the future of scientific communication but hard for committees to catch up with the reality.

My @socarxiv preprint explores the possibilities of 'oral essay' study practice in UK higher education context. It's the beginning of a multi-phase design-based research (DBR) project. Click here to download: https://t.co/8csflT0DkJ
Fabulous #volunteer opportunity for social scientists! Speaking from personal experience, it’s really fun to spend a few hours every week or two skimming the newest, hot off the press research across a ton of sub fields 🤓
SocArXiv seeks volunteer moderators! Screen research papers in social science, arts, humanities, and law. Volunteers generally spend 1-2 hours/week after training, plus a low-volume group chat. Any professional level, multiple languages especially encouraged. socarxiv @ gmail
