I love this second goal from the USMNT against Senegal, where they went from Matt Turner to Pulisic scoring in just 15 seconds.
It was a fun, confident goal from the US, and hopefully a sign of things to come! #usmnt
@Matthew82730040@ManagerTactical Both haven’t won since the 60s. Both either have their talent overrated or talent underperforms. Never meet the weight of expectations but want to be considered one of the top dogs.
I’m a Spurs fan, so not really a dig. But England famously doesn’t live up to expectations
@StanUsmnt Love this response. As a professional testing analyst, I’d be bad at my job if it was about me being right rather than finding the right answer.
Our initial read on things is wrong all the time. (I thought Ferreira was the next bing thing). But internet encourages doubling down
@raiderman94@USMNT idk man, I just looked at their history and I cannot find a single instance of Germany having an an AFCON retroactively taken away from them
This is the tough thing about analysis around player form. It doesn't actually tell us much.
Form is bad...until it's not. Form is good until it's not.
A long National team camp and a tournament is a fresh start for everyone. #USMNT
"It's just great to score again. Hopefully people can stop talking about it. I feel great.” 🎙️
Christian Pulisic after the USMNT win against Senegal 👀🇺🇸
@USKeeper I expect our general organization on the defensive side of the ball will improve…but we will always be prone to individual errors.
Even with Richards back, our defense is going to have some nervy moments, and isn’t great at cleaning those up
Feeling really enthused about the USMNT performance against Senegal, not perfect, but there is a lot to love out of our attack.
After years of being anxious at the 9, I'm feeling very good going into the World Cup with Pepi and Balogun. #usmnt
First time a team has put 3 past Senegal since the 2022 world cup.
It's a friendly, don't want to read too much into it, but a lot of good work from the US attack in this game #usmnt
54% being uninterested sounds like a LOT. But keep in mind that a similar number doesn't watch the Super Bowl.
Having 46% interested in soccer in this country is great progress!
@BrianSciaretta Gotta imagine this is mostly posturing...would be very surprised if he isn't starting on June 12th. But I'm certainly going to feel anxious about it
@stacks_bobby Certainly feels like a signal that he will have a significant role...which makes me nervous, but he does bring a lot of experience and is a solid left side distributor
One of the under discussed details of the USMNT roster is that of there are very few left footed players, and Zendejas is the only left footed attacker.
(If you don't view Arfsten as an attacker, which I guess Poch doesn't)
