Itโs sad how many people get so easily triggered by someone saying โAmerica First.โ
Every single person living here should be America First no matter their political leanings. If you are not you are free to move to the country you want to come first.

Turn off the TVs, put down the smart devices, get out of the house and go experience everything we should be grateful for including our fellow man ๐บ๐ธ

Do we even have a congress? One of the biggest problems in this country is that too many candidates have to survive primaries before they ever face the voters. The system rewards allegiance to party power and presidential politics โ not allegiance to the American people. That is how we end up with two-faced politicians who say one thing to voters and do another to protect themselves. Allegiance to country and serve WE THE PEOPLE.
Last night at the Keyport Borough Council meeting, I attended in advocacy for answers on behalf of the residents of Keyport. Multiple residents raised the same question: why was the Aeromarine SI/RI study from 2009โ2010 never escalated federally?
The facts are simple. Councilman Bergen was mayor when the report identifying serious environmental concerns, including exposed solid waste, was delivered. Instead of accountability, blame was shifted elsewhere.
Leaving office does not erase responsibility. Any mayor โ or any citizen โ can contact their congressman or the EPA when public safety is potentially at risk, how or why this did not happen in 2009-2010 when the first environmental report was received?
If Congressman Pallone knew, residents deserve to know what action was taken. If he didnโt, residents deserve to know why it was never escalated to the district representative. That is why I filed OPRA and FOIA requests. The residents of Keyport want answers, accountability, and transparency.
Environmental safety, public health, and risk are never apolitical โ and public service requires accountability.
With answers, proper capping and remediation Keyport can begin to heal and this site on Keyportโs waterfront can become a symbol of restoration, resilience, and real progress.
