"From the minute i saw that little blue line,
I knew deep down that you'd never be mine.
From the first little flutter, to that firm little kick.
I knew it wouldn't be me that they'd pick."

If I handed in an essay with as many typos as my pathway plan has I'd be (rightly so) torn apart for it … is it really that hard for social workers to proof read when it repeatedly says "he" not she, "Frey" not Freya??
Basic stuff come on guys, really makes us feel valued 🥴

Next week marks my final week at BASW! I’ve learnt so much and this has ultimately fuelled a desire to return to practice! So I’ll be going back to frontline working with children and families #UKSocialWork

On Friday two members of the Have a Voice and Care Leavers Councils delivered a workshop at #BASWeng19 to social workers from across the country, all about how to improve relationships with young people. As you can tell from the feedback they did a fantastic job @BASW_UK
Been a busy few days conferencing with @BASW_UK and @CommunityCare - so this weekend I achieved some balance and took part in @battlecancer17 it was a great day and we achieved a respectable 48/83 spaces
I can't thank @BASW_UK for allowing me to share with many lovely people today, it is a passion of mine working along side @FamilyRightsGp and @KinshipCarersUk it was important to me to focus not on what you can't do for kinship carers but to focus on what you can do. #BASWeng19
Great day #BASWeng19 conference. Creative social work with moving, uplifting @SurvivorsChoir. Powerful sharing by Ian Lawrence - Samurai SW - reminders of importance of all prof’ls asking questions rather than just reacting to behaviour. Reinforced importance of kindness, etc.
Remember why you got into this in the first place and be honest about what you can and can’t do. Treat the families you work with as your own and be consistent @FamilyRightsGp @AFrazerWicks #BASWeng19
