Day 194 Residency :- Got a code Blue call from ICU II, turns out a ASA 1 Pt. Aspirated in ward posted for Elective OT went into cardiac arrest. Revived the Pt. After 3 cycles of CPR f/b Intubation. Vitally stable now, just came back Extubating her. #Anesthesia 💙

Before admission i was curious to
ask why there was so much delay
in diagnosis. Upon asking i realized
the pt. Went to those physicians
who had crowded opds and most
of the physicians didn't even
auscultated him.

"Many experienced doctors prescribed me multiple medications and tests and been reffered to multiple doctors but nobody could made a diagnosis, but you despite being so young diagnosed me in 5 mins"

On examination, I noted bilateral
lower limb pitting edema & on
auscultation heard fine crackles.
So, i ordered an 2D Echo and
ProBnp.
EF was 40% and ProBnp was
raised. Thus, confirming my
provisional diagnosis of CHF😌.
Pt. Was admitted under cardiology
