@_Fuches A prophecy against Babylon which came to pass when Cyrus the Persian conquered Babylon. A proof that the Bible is historically accurate.
Or is there something else you want to talk about?
@lacicrips@groove_ong@ehigbai_o Simply explained:
New Heavens: New global rulership under God's kingdom.
New Earth: Righteous humans living on earth.
The Sea will be no more: destructive and turbulent humans will be no more.

@lacicrips@groove_ong@ehigbai_o Those words doesn't mean a destruction of the literal heavens or earth.
Except you want to believe there truly will be "no more sea" literally.

Living longer isn't same as living forever. And in regards to wicked people or bad people see what that same Psalm said.
Psalm 37:9-10
For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth. Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there.
Justice demands fairness. If justice alone were applied, the entire human race would remain condemned to death because of the sin inherited from our first parents, Adam and Eve. However, God’s justice is perfectly balanced with His infinite mercy. Through Christ’s ransom sacrifice, He has provided an opportunity for humans to be freed from sin and death and to gain everlasting life.
Yet, this opportunity does not come through coercion. Each person has the freedom to choose whether to obey God or follow a different course. God invites us to choose obedience, but He does not force us to do so. Ultimately, every choice has consequences.
@ONeil_lo0p@ehigbai_o Same sin humans inherited from Adam.
Romans 5:19
For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one person many will be made righteous.
As regards to children and their resurrection, the Bible didn't give specific details.
But in regards to those old, we have a hint. Job was sick and stricken, but when his health was restored, his body too was restored.
Job 33:25
Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.’
@kisa256_@ehigbai_o John 5:28-29
Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment
@kisa256_@ehigbai_o Those who die are in the grave. And Jesus himself promised to bring to life all those in the grave.
Imagine if they die and are in heaven or hellfire as some say, would Jesus bring them back to life again? What for?
@man_buchi@groove_ong@ehigbai_o So If we'd follow this logic, we say humans die, go to heaven, stay in heaven for 1000 years and return to earth to live forever?
@kisa256_@ehigbai_o We will live on earth forever because that is was the intended purpose. The one who created it that way, will make it possible. A life without sickness, old age or even death. Evil and wicked people will be no more.
@imperatortm@nitch_hoover@lacicrips@groove_ong@ehigbai_o If that is the case, then Jesus wouldn't ask us to pray for that kingdom to come in the Lord's prayer.
The kingdom of God is a real government that will remove all human governments - Daniel 2:44.
@nitch_hoover@lacicrips@groove_ong@ehigbai_o The Bible also speaks of the hope of everlasting life on earth, as shown at Psalm 37:29 which I quoted in the original post. So we need to consider the context and whom Paul was addressing rather than conclude that everyone will live in heaven forever.
We can illustrate it this way: Just because someone talks about leaving a tent to live in a permanent house doesn’t mean everyone living in tents will move into that house. Paul was explaining the heavenly hope of those anointed Christians, not saying that all humans will go to heaven.
