I have received JKJAAC’s response to my letter proposing the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, together with their accompanying proposal.

Every loss of life is a national tragedy. My immediate priority is to help end the present crisis, bring relief and restore normal life for the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir as quickly as possible.

I welcome their willingness to engage with the proposed Commission as a possible institutional path forward, one now endorsed by the AJK Legislative Assembly, and will study their proposal carefully.

I will also now consult the Prime Minister of AJK, who will approach the Federal Government and other relevant stakeholders to seek their initial views and assess whether sufficient common ground exists to take a consensus proposal forward. - BBZ

احتجاج اور کارروائی کا سلسلہ فوراً معطل ہو، ٹرتھ اینڈ ری کنسیلیشن کمیشن سے کچھ نہیں چھپایا جائے گا اور ہر متاثرہ خاندان کو انصاف ملے گا۔
یہی کشمیر میں امن و انصاف کا راستہ ہے۔
اگر آپ اس سب سے اتفاق کرتے ہیں تو دو اگست کو تیر پر مہر لگائیں۔

Despite this admission from the rigging party the ECP has still failed to take action on our complaints from phase 1. Had they done so the credibility of today’s phase 2 election would have been restored. The PPP reserves the right to protest and demand reelection in phases where rigging took place and the election commission failed to act. We have already sent multiple written complaints about ballot stuffing and illegal removal of our polling agents in today’s election. It is hoped the election commission acts swiftly and at least maintains fairness in round 2.

آزاد جموں و کشمیر میں چوہدری لطیف اکبر کے انتخابی حلقے ایل اے 31 کھاوڑہ میں ایک اور افسوس ناک واقعے میں پاکستان پیپلزپارٹی کے رکن قومی اسمبلی صلاح الدین جونیجو پر حملہ ہوا ہے جس کی میں مذمت کرتا ہوں اور مطالبہ کرتا ہوں کہ ذمہ داروں کو فی الفور گرفتار کیا جائے، مصطفی آباد کے پولنگ اسٹیشن پر قابض مسلم لیگ ن کے شرپسند عناصر باہر نکلے اور میرے کارکنوں پر براہ راست گولیاں چلادیں، وہ پولیس سے مدد مانگتے رہے مگر کوئی بچانے نہیں آیا، یہ صورت حال انتہائی تشویش ناک ہے، چونکہ مسلم لیگ ن میرٹ پر انتخابات نہیں جیت سکتی لہذا وہ مذموم ہتھکنڈوں پر اتر آئی ہے۔

The Sindh Government is delivering clean, affordable energy to 275,000 deserving families through an Rs18.2 billion Solar Home Systems Project, launched on the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
