Horrifying footage appears to show police firing directly at PTI protesters, leaving civilians wounded. Why? Demanding the release of their elected political leader and standing by democracy.
Those responsible for ordering and carrying out this brutality must be held accountable. Relentless bloodshed and fearmongering from Asim Munir’s petrified regime. Scared people often lash out with the most cruel brutality, and that’s what we’re seeing here. A man terrified to lose power, and terrified of his own people’s will.
The world must watch and take action. We absolutely must take a united stand against tyranny and evil.
If security failures justify Governor’s Rule and a state of emergency in KP, why not apply the same standard to Sindh, where “katchay ke daku” openly terrorise citizens and “pakay ke daku” rule the province?
Why not Balochistan, where the state struggles to enforce its writ?
And what about Punjab, with reports of widespread corruption and extrajudicial killings?
Why is this remedy being discussed for a province that continues to elect PTI?
Apply the same standard everywhere. Don’t use security as an excuse to overturn a mandate you could not defeat at the ballot box.
Happy birthday, @ImranKhanPTI.
May Allah bless you with health, strength and freedom.
Your courage continues to inspire millions across the world.
May your next birthday be among your people.

The joint presser between Dar & @antonioguterres was a bad joke. Dar barely touched Kashmir, and the @UN SG completely ignored Imran Khan’s illegal detention & human rights abuses in Pakistan.
Zero questions from journos sitting there as well.
Looks like the @UN statements on Khan were are clearly just hot air.
Oh btw: While @antonioguterres you were holding a presser many arrests took place today, including Khan’s cousin @QasimZamanK who was picked up outside of Adiyala jail.
This in addition to Khan’s sister who are already in jail for 2+ weeks and his wife Bushra BB, who’s been incarcerated for 3 years herself.
@UNHumanRights wake up!
What mockery!
@fkkundi you cannot run a parallel government while 2/3rd of the province voted for @PTIofficial
I hope you don’t make a mistake of trying to impose governors rule as I’m afraid any such silly adventure may be disastrous for the federation.
For all practical purposes, PPP and PMLN have committed political suicide.
But congratulations. You have finally but foolishly removed PTI’s elected government in KP.
Apparently, the voters’ choice was the real emergency. So much for your pretence of democracy.
You spent years blaming @PTIofficial and @ImranKhanPTI for everything wrong with Pakistan. Now that you have cleared the field, surely prosperity and peace are just around the corner?
Fix the economy.
Tackle terrorism.
Deliver the miracles PTI was supposedly preventing.
All the power.
All the institutions.
No excuses left.
Let’s see you play. And this time, try winning through performance instead of blaming and removing the opposition.
May Allah help Pakistan.
You could not write comedy this good.
PPP calls PMLN’s mandate fake.
PMLN calls PPP’s mandate fake.
MQM calls both fake, yet sits in the federal cabinet…after winning its own seats through rigging as well.
Everyone is crying foul.
Funny thing is, in 2024, none of these parties needed their own expertise to rig anything.
And we still wonder why we are slipping?

The real issue in Pakistan remains the continued illegal incarceration of @ImranKhanPTI and numerous PTI leaders.
Before anything else, let’s put one claim to rest.
They repeatedly say that Imran Khan never wanted dialogue.
The attached video from June 2023 speaks for itself.
Now let me put the rest in black and white.
In my view, three forces came together to bring Pakistan to where it is today.
Firstly, foreign powers that neither wanted nor want to see Pakistan prosper, and that viewed Imran Khan’s popularity as a challenge to their interests.
Secondly, domestic power centres that feared losing the control they have exercised over Pakistan for decades.
Thirdly, corrupt political actors who feared an awakened public that had begun asking difficult questions and demanding accountability.
The latter two could not have been achieved without the first.
They have continuously sacrificed Pakistan’s national interest in order to keep Imran Khan behind bars and protect the positions of power they have acquired and continue to hold.
I was personally witness to the assurances that were conveyed to him.
I am also witness to every one of those assurances being broken.
And let me end with this.
As long as Imran Khan remains behind bars, no one will trust the judicial system of this country.
That is the reality those in power have created.
And no amount of propaganda will change it.
Nations do not collapse overnight.
The downfall slowly and quietly builds over decades.
Corrupt contracts. Stolen elections. Honest men in jails and criminals on thrones.
Young minds leaving, never to come back.
And those calling the shots?
They have offshore accounts, real estate in the west, dual nationalities, and children abroad.
They will be fine. You will not.
This is not bad luck. This is the plan.
The only people who can stop it are actually the ones being destroyed by it.
