@calebscoville Regardless of what field it is, if things are that bad, make a change. "Better" is always out there and there's no need to work in a toxic business, and a business or institution in any field can be toxic. Academics seem to feel more stuck though.

@markgrossi imo, anyone installing solar should size it up substantially, especially if they might even consider electric vehicles in the future. Also, one might use the AC a little more. Being able to cover home and EV use via solar is a huge benefit.
