BREAKING: Alaska’s largest telecom provider is deploying Starlink to keep remote communities connected during outages.

• GCI will deploy Starlink bonded gateways across Alaska.

•GCI is Alaska’s largest telecommunications company and serves more than 200 communities across the state.

• The rollout will support communities including Bethel, Sitka, Kotzebue, and Dillingham.

• Starlink’s bonded gateway can combine multiple Starlink connections and deliver up to 10 Gbps of capacity.

• The system helps keep communities connected during fiber cuts, outages, and network disruptions.

• The Starlink service uses optical inter-satellite laser links, allowing connectivity even in locations far from Starlink ground stations.

Alaska has some of the most remote and hardest-to-reach communities in North America, making network reliability especially important for healthcare, education, and public safety.

The Netherlands are preparing for war with Russia

The Dutch army is conducting drills for the first time in more than 30 years to deploy a prisoner-of-war camp.

At the Marnehuizen training ground, they are testing a facility project that could hold up to 2,000 people in the event of war.

Security will be provided by cameras with analytics, sound sensors, and drones with real-time video transmission.

Prisoners of war will be housed in barracks for 20 people, with shared sanitary areas, a dining hall, and a medical station.

The Dutch Land Forces Command states that the conditions of detention should be “no worse than those of their own soldiers.”

They came up with this cleverly. The queue of Russians willing to surrender to the Dutch will be visible from space. And it won’t only be military personnel who go to surrender. The main thing is that they don’t get crushed in the crowd.

The last one to surrender should turn off the light.
